Sibo would it affect CD test results or is it symptoms only ?
Sibo
- if you have this and have the same symptoms that you had before diagnosis of CD does anyone know whether the coeliac test they give would be higher than normal please. I have issues with my stomach and I am wondering whether I might have this

IBS, SIBO, Histamine
Well finally a very smart doc diagnosed
SIBO
and histamine intolerance. A low histamine diet is the ONLY thing (and I mean I have tried many things) that has helped with some of these symptoms.

SIBO real or not
I know the treatment for
SIBO
is another bloody cocktail of antibiotics but I dont want to go down that line as i believed that drugs caused this whole in balance anyway. So can anyone answer any of these. Can I have
SIBO
Hydrogen dominant but be constipated rather than have diarrhea.

Histamine Intolerance (and SIBO and Hashimoto's)
Well finally a very smart doc diagnosed
SIBO
and histamine intolerance. A low histamine diet is the ONLY thing that has helped with some of these symptoms. So next week I start taking Xifaxan and Neem for
SIBO
and Quercetin and a couple other supplements for histamine.

Coeliac disease that doesn't respond to a GF diet
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33361039/ They basically identified that there is a higher prevalence of
SIBO
(small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) in patients whose health didn't improved on a gluten free diet (prevalence of 31% compared to the control group, which had a prevalence of 15%).

SIBO Test Update
So, I posted few months back that I was going private for
SIBO
test - that's Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth. I've ongoing symptoms, cross-reaction to non-gluten foods, and increasing joint damage, so
SIBO
looks likely culprit.

My story of illness and ‘recovery’
Crohns, UC and
SIBO
plus others were tested for. The same story of nothing coming back positive just continued but, the consultant at London Bridge Hospital took the step of addressing as a standard case of IBS and prescribed a specialist probiotic (Symprove). It was expensive but was helping.

Does anyone have any experience of resolving
SIBO
? What did you do and what were the improvements? I think this may be why I don't absorb B12 as well as I could so am keen to try to correct it.

Links to SIBO & IBS
I’ve seen a few old reports which suggest there maybe, but what is the latest thinking on this and has there been any case of successful treatment for
SIBO
that has resulted in a reduction of RLS symptoms? Keep safe

Could work be causing my flare up?!
and I am also waiting to do a
SIBO
test. WI’m still really bloated everyday and it just gets me down. I try and think what could have caused this flare up as I haven’t been particularly stressed but I did start a new job in November which leads me to believe it could be the cause .

oesophageal dysmotility
It recommends antibiotics for the
SIBO
, PPI for the silent reflux, and annual alendronic acid infusion for my osteoporosis. Of course all these depend on my GP and hospital actually taking action so I'm not holding my breath.

Constant pain
I have had all the usual tests going, all negative, apart from a positive
SIBO
reading and not sure how reliable the tests are, as it told me I should have more bowel movements with hydrogen producing
SIBO
rather than constipation. Its frustrating, every one you see contradicts the other...
