Ultrasound Results... what's going on?
Hey friends, Had the US today. Nurse practitioner called me late in the day with findings. Compared to my last US taken 4 months ago they found nothing different. She said everything looked the same. I wish I could feel good about this, I mean thank goodness there are no masses, or tumors etc. but,

Re-arrange docs appointment
So I wrote in here last week that I was worried about going to see my lovely doctor on Friday about a butt load of blood tests, urine sample and a three month pain diary. I had my flu jab with Mum before and heard some gentlmen across the way complaining they were over half an hour late, so I went up

Flu shot has live virus?
According to google the flu shot does contain a weakened dose of the flu virus. I’m still not sure but your replies have helped me. Thank you!

Flu vaccine shortage
I was booked to have my flu jab at my GP this week but the appointment was cancelled due to shortage of vaccine. Despite being 'vulnerable' as I have Lupus and renal transplant this made no difference. The appointment has been re-booked towards the end of November, but there's no guarantee. I have

Yikes! What in the world have I done?
I went to my local surgery this morning as I heard they were having a Flu Jab Clinic... I went thinking I'd ask questions and "maybe" consider getting one... If I did get it, it would be my FIRST EVER flu jab!!!! After speaking to the Doctor who said, "Yes, your conditions do not exclude you." (

Thyrovanz
I changed to Thyrovanz about May this year because unable to get Westhroid. Had tried Thyrogold for a couple of month's who's advice was that 325 mg would be equal to my 3 grains of Westhroid. I then bought Thyrovanz as it was available in more dose strengths & settled on 300mg where I felt well

Flu jab
I’m very confused about the flu jab for the over 75’s? I’m going to ask today which one I will be getting as I’m 75 on the 29th of this month. As my present treatment isn’t working I’ve been in a persistent flare for months, the depo steroid jab didn’t work either and I’m not seeing my consultant till

Had The Flu Jab Today! Declined The Shingles One!
Personal decision on this! Read earlier posts, references & the devil is in the detail! Who knows? What I can say is that my GCA followed straight after Shingles!! (Plus a lot of other stuff!)

Flu Jab and effects on Hashimoto's
Hi there, has anyone suffered with any side effects from this new over 65's Flu Jab? I felt awful for about a week after - all the usually Hypothyroidism symptoms but much worse. I have not normally suffered anything like this in the past from the normal Flu Jabs. Would be interested if anyone has suffered

Topical blog
I was going to write a blog on one topic but with all the flu jab stuff today thought I’d write one on the flu jab instead! I’d welcome your feedback. Liz x https://comingupforairasthma.blogspot.com/2018/10/flu-jab-why-should-i.html?m=1

Question on preds
Hi there, I have read suggestions about asking my dr for gastro-resistant preds so I wouldn't need to take lansaprozole (think thats the right spelling!) which i currently take an hour before the steroids. My question is this: are these gastro-resistant ones big, as I am not great with taking big pills

We are new to this site and hope to find some answers thru researching. My husband was diagnosed in 2010 after extensive testing.
We live in British Columbia, Canada and at this point in time have heard of only 1 other case here. At our local Hospital he is "N of 1". There is no expert and it just keeps getting worse. I believe it was triggered by a very bad cold/flu in March 2010. At first it looked like the measles and it didn't

Flu jab & getting ready for winter
Went to the GP to get my flu jab earlier which I'm hoping will keep me protected over the winter. I've also been put back on doxycycline to give me a base level protection now that the sun is on the wane. Not overly pleased by this as I hate the hot flushes and burning feeling I get when I take the tablets
