According to google the flu shot does contain a weakened dose of the flu virus.

I’m still not sure but your replies have helped me.

Thank you!

The flu vaccines given by injection are not live viruses according to the CDC. The vaccine given by a nasal spray does contain live virus. cdc.gov/flu/about/qa/miscon...

My pharmacist said the shot does not contain a live virus. My neurologist said it is ok for me to take anytime even though I have been on Ocrevus for 18 months. My neurologist is a MS specialist.

I too have a ms neurologist.

I said google says the flu shot contains a live virus.

Multiple websites say the virus is in the dose.

Maybe when the heart is sickened, along with other problems, the flu shot is not a wise option.

I read somewhere on here that flu shots are safe. I just started Rituxan in July and my MS Neuro said flu shot is fine. (and major surgery I haven't scheduled yet😊)

My ms doctor said i can get the flu shot but not the nasal mist because that is live. He has not yet told me when i can get it but said i still need to wait some time since i just got my first half dose of ocrevus and getting the second half dose soon.

How do you feel since your infusion of O? I just had my first 2 doses of Rituxan in July and other than eating too much because of the included steroids, I feel the same.

The first day i felt like i had alot of energy because of the steroids. I do still feel heat sensitivity but i feel less cramping in my hands and legs and spasms. I have gotten quite a few headaches though

mm1527mm be sure to keep a record of how you are feeling and report it to your Neuro.
