Emphysema and Hypochondria
Hello Everybody, I (38/m) was recently diagnosed with emphysema. I have not taken any PFTs, so I do not know the extent. The original (ER) doctor told me to quit smoking to stay off oxygen when I'm 80, and a general practitioner said I am 'more moderate than mild'. I was diagnosed with an x-ray and

Reasons for a difficult run
As I think I may already have mentioned (!!!), I did my first ever 10k run yesterday, and it was hard! I know there are many reasons some runs are like that, so wasn't too worried. When I checked my stats afterwards I noticed that my heart rate was at least 15 bpm higher than it usually is, for the whole

New Shingrix Vaccine
I have not had my
shingles
vaccine
, because the original was a live virus. I am seriously considering the new Shingrix
vaccine
for
shingles
that is not a live virus. Has anyone else received the new vaccine? How did you make out?

Amiodarone and shingles vaccination
I had the flu vaccination and shingles vaccination 2 weeks ago just before coming to America to see some of my children. I had an ablation at the beginning of September which led to a chest infection. A week ago I started feeling a bit below par. Have some spots on my forehead and in my hair and stabbing

Latest update from Rienij.
It has been a mixed couple of weeks. Some reasonable and some downright awfull. Had my appointment with the consultant about the histology report from the bladder cancer. It wasn’t very good. Apparently it is G3 PT1 High grade. Need repeat operation ASAP. If bladder is clear I will need BCG treatment

Flu Jab advice to everyone
Hi everyone, I would like to encourage everyone to have the flu jab if you can, especially if you are on biologics or immunosuppressant medications. There have been reports of worse side effects this year and its thought to be because of the vaccine containing four strains. The most commonly reported

Flu vaccine?
I decided to actually get a flu vaccine this year, instead of just thinking about it for months like I usually do. Both my PCP and neuro recommended it since getting flu could cause a relapse. Following the immunization, I had about 5 days of increased spasms in my legs, making walking a bit difficult

Flu jab
Hi all! I’ve been offered a flu jab but wasn’t sure if I should go ahead with it as think I remember a post on here saying we shouldn’t have vaccines. What do people know about this?

GFR
I was diagnosed in 2012 with GFR of 16. I first became deathly ill in 2011 but wasn't diagnosed till 2012. I became deathly ill twice, both before the diagnosis. I also would become very ill the 3 times I took flu vaccines before 2011. I had CKD, frequent urinary infections, kidneys full of stones. I

Children’s flu vaccine and contact as immunosuppressed
My daughter is about to start babysitting and the the boys she will look after are due to have their flu vaccines at school. I have been on Benepali for a year and therefore classed as “ immunosuppressed”. I had my flu jab 3 weeks ago. Will this pose a problem?

Infusion completed
Hi all, finally completed my Rituximab/Truxima infusions, I should have had my 2nd infusion 2 weeks ago but sadly our niece passed away so we had her funeral to go to, she was only 37, it certainly makes you think of your own motality, I'll do my best to be as cheerful as her. It turned out I had a water

New Diagnosis
My husband had a DAT Scan and we were told to wait for the results for 10 days . On day 11 we hadn’t heared anything , once during this process results had gone to the Drs and not us . Last week I took him for a flu jab and asked if by chance they knew anything ? The receptionist told me ‘yes the result
