Re-arrange docs appointment

So I wrote in here last week that I was worried about going to see my lovely doctor on Friday about a butt load of blood tests, urine sample and a three month pain diary. I had my flu jab with Mum before and heard some gentlmen across the way complaining they were over half an hour late, so I went up to the desk to tell them I’m not going to make my appointment with my doc and what I should do. They told me then that my doc wasn’t in and I would be seeing her husband. Now, her husband is absolutely lovely, don’t get me wrong, but trying to explain to the receptionist without going into too much detail (because it isn’t really any of her business) that it would be no good seeing another doctor because my doctor knows everything going on with me, was such an immense struggle. I think she thought I was just being a brat and difficult for the sake of. Reality is I dropped my three month, A5 filled notebook to the docs and popped it in her pigeon hole for her to read. The receptionist said quite cockily that if I had a pain diary it would be put into the system and he would be able to access it. We only get 10 minute appoints down here - trying to explain to him everything about my fibro in the last two years, everything in the last year or so where I have felt worst and all of my symptoms, asking all the questions I had lined up for this appointment, going through my pain diary, talking through the blood tests and thinking about a referral... it’s just not possible! Anyway I felt quite deflated and upset when I went in to see the nurse for my jab who luckily was my wonderful asthma nurse. So she sorted an appointment for me on the following Tuesday, just four days after. She’s a dear.

I decided to see what my blood results came back as and the receptionist said everything was fine apart from one thing to be discussed in appointment as arranged. It’s more than likely my Vit D, Iron or Thyroid but I keep thinking in my head - what if it’s the auto-immune tests come back. In a sick way, I hope it is so I have some answer (I know I haven’t been waiting very long, unlike a lot of people here and I don’t wish to offend them). It would be nice to go to the consultant with some back up rather than being dismissed with having had nothing come back.

We shall see, I’ll update you all again once I’ve been tomorrow. I hope you have a wonderful day 💖
