Dental work and vaccines

I have my flu jab booked for 5th October at 9.00am and some preparatory work for a crown at the Dentist at 2.30pm on the same day which will involve a local anaesthetic. I then have my 5th covid jab on the Sunday 9th October just four days later and then the

Vaccines prior to Blood work
Do you think that my husband's blood work will be affected by the Covid booster and flu shot received four weeks prior to blood draw? I am concerned enough about lab results without them being negatively affected. He has CKD stage 3B. Thank you for your input.

Reaction to 4th covid vaccine (Moderna)
Just to say I had a 4th covid vaccination on Saturday (17 Sept) along with the flu jab, and today have woken up to a lupus flare - the first I have had in a long time. I take hydroxychloroquine and have prednisolone to hand for use during a flare, but have decided not take the steroids in case it interferes

Covid and flu vaccines
Managed to get both my Covid booster and seasonal flu vaccines today. They even had a large TV screen following the funeral.

Flu vaccination priority
Can anyone explain to me why my local GP practice appears to have put me in the general age banding of the over 50s category for flu vaccination instead of following guidelines written out by the NHS? I’m over 60 (but not yet 65) and the NHS online site concerning the flu jab is quite clear on this

Ive been invited to book my covid booster and flu vaccine, of which, I intend to have both. Im due to have my pacemaker fitted on the 26th Sept and wondering if I should delay the vaccines? Any thoughts gratefully received.

New guidelines on astrazeneca covid vaccinations
new guidelines. 7 september 2022 U.k. government released document regarding astrazeneca vaccination. It is in boxes and advice to doctors and pharmacies. UK have stopped this vaccine, but it does state that they should ask what medicines a person is on plus if they have had another vaccination recently

FLU Jab FLARE
I am beginning to dread annual vaccines and Covid boosters. Each time I have a vaccination, I have a PMR flare. This one started slowly, (day 3, post jab), and grew over 6 more days, to undeniable flare. Severe hip and shoulder pain and stiffness, could hardly walk! I Boosted pred dose up to

Off Topic..dotting ‘I’s and crossing ‘T’s?
Attended for my 6th Covid vaccination yesterday at a clinic specifically for ‘Over 75s’, according to the forms we were asked to complete. The 3rd question asked, “Are you or could you be pregnant?” Mmmmm….! Btw; a flu jab was being offered to all at the same time…the Covid jab was Moderna bivalent.

Children’s live flu nasal spray
Morning, my Granddaughters are about to have their annual flu jab, which here in the UK is a live nasal spray. I know I need to keep away from them for a while, but cannot find anything on the NHS website to suggest how long for. Does anyone know or have had experience of this? Thanks

order of vaccinations
I had a relatively mild form of COVID in August which cleared up in a week with Paxlovid. My surgery is doing the flu vaccination on 8 Oct and I can have the 2nd shingles vaccination anytime after 21 September. Meanwhile the over 50s are being offered a COVID booster, but I suppose having had the infection

Upcoming vaccinations for flu and Covid
Hello everyone, This is my first post on the forum so hope it goes ok. My question is concerning the booster jab for Covid and, the usual, flu vaccination. This afternoon my local medical centre sent texts regarding the above, encouraging me to book dates for the vaccinations. I always have a flu

Covid autumn booster and flu vaccs
Having said I'd have my flu and covid booster separately I've just booked to have both at once at our surgery. Has anyone strong feelings either way? I've never had reactions to any of covid jabs ( Astra Zeneca Moderna or Pfizer) or to any flu jab.

Autumn booster and flu jab invite
Finally got my follow up with rheumy nurse next week on Tuesday so will ask this week with everything else I need to ask. But I’ve just had a text from my gp with a link to book my flu jab and autumn covid booster. I’ve not been told I am immunosuppressed, or that I’m more at risk and I’m only on

flu jab and Levothyroxine timings
Hello everyone, the invitations to have the ‘flu jab have started to be sent out, I’m assuming it’s best to leave minimum 4 hours following Levothyroxine morning dose? This will be my first experience of the jab since I started Levo.
