Is it ok to get a shingles vaccine whilst getting an injection of Nacula and on 2 Mg of pred

Not sure about Nucala but I’m on a different biologic (Xolair) and have been told I can’t have the shingles vax

Hi I had flu jab and shingles on same day in 2018 and had really bad breathing problems next day and by 5th day I was back at surgery gasping for breath, told me if couldn’t get my oxygen up I was being sent to hospital but with a massive amount of ventolin being pumped down me it got a bit better so sent home but I wouldn’t recommend having shingles jab when having other meds. My breathing has never really recovered but I have terrible doctors surgery and asthma nurse, so still struggling to breathe most of time and cannot do much around home.

My practice nurse was concerned about the Nucala compromised my immune system. If it does then she could give me the vaccine in 2 doses 2 weeks apart but their preference is to give it all at once.. I spoke to the nurse at the respitory clinic that I go to, and after confirming with the hospital pharmacist, said that it would be ok to go ahead and get the single shot one. The Nucala is only a very small strength biological.. She is going to contact my doctors surgery to ell them that it is ok to go ahead. It was reassuring that the practice nurse showed some concern and the respitory nurse got back to me so quickly. Just waiting on gettig a new appointment.
