I have also had a
shingles
vaccine
. My grandson is just recovering and we’re waiting to see if his sister catches it. I’m on 5mg prednisone and we’re wondering if I should still be careful and stay clear until the incubation period is over. Many thanks in advance

Biologics
Hi everyone, I have just returned from RA appointment with my new specialist and am feeling really unsure. I have tested positive for latent tuberculosis so he seems reluctant to start me on Biologics, which was the route my old rheumatologist was planning to take. I think I received a BCG vaccine

Just another pain
Since Christmas I've had a pain all around the top of my leg close to my pelvis. It's left me struggling to walk even worse than before. I don't go out because of my mobility and becoming breathless. But this has also stopped me going for investigations into a constant UTI. I told them there was no way

Shingrix yet again. Sorry
I'm sorry to ask this yet again, as I know it has been asked many times before, but I am wondering if there have been any recent updates in advice about shingles vaccines. I am aged 75, had a mild attack of shingles 7 years ago, which was quickly followed by PMR which was undiagnosed and led to GCA

Follow Up
Hi guys, I know you will remember the farce that was my treatment - so no no need to do 10 A4 worth of words. Just say last year I never got a follow up - until almost a year later. This time I had my BCG treatment for BC and a week Wednesday I have a Cystoscopy to see if the treatment has worked

CLL and Seniors super flu vaccine
With CLL, are there any serious side effects after getting the" full" dose seniors flu vaccine. Also , does it matter if I take ibuprofen as compared to acetaminopfen once in awhile ? Thank you .

This afternoon I received a call from the National
Vaccine
Centre, and told that as I had a
Shingles
jab in 2017, their policy was that I did not need another. I told her of my Haematologists intervention, and she said she would contact her and make her aware of the UK policy.

Severe Cold, to Bronchitis; PMR has not returned
Had gotten a cold that became tenacious, as after 1 week of a head cold it progressed to my chest. A week later I had Bronchitis for the first time in my life and starting with week 3 my GP put me on a Prednisone routine of 40 mg, 30, 20, 10 over a course of 10 days. As if that wasn’t enough, she

Concern about Vaccines
I am due to get my second
shingles
(shingrix)
vaccine
at the start of January 2023. After the first vaccine in August and my flu and covid booster vaccines in September I struggled with aches and pains so much so that I had to increase my prednisolone from 2.5mg to 7.5mg.
