another cover booster
Hi i am a bit worried about having my 5th booster for covid on 22nd /6/23 because my consultant said something happened last November to make my c.k.d. worse . the only thing that changed was my cover and flu jab. He said he couldn't for sure say it wasn't the cover booster that caused it but he feels

My Cancer and other health issues update.
After months of pretty bad news over my bladder cancer which is high grade and had spread to the inner linings of my bladder. I was told I could not have BCG anymore and that was gloomy news. I have an appointment tomorrow for a new three bladder cancer BCG Treatment. I was surprised I was having

Measles resurgence: Is it a cause for concern?
Recent headlines have highlighted concerns of a resurgence in measles cases across the UK and especially in London. We asked our paediatric medical advisor, Dr Gavin Cleary, Consultant Rheumatologist at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, whether parents/carers of a child with JIA should be concerned or taking

Sanofi vaccine and shark liver oil
I don’t think this has been posted before but the fact Sanofi is for over 75s makes sense if the shark oil is an immune booster and apparently is also given in the flu vaccine for the over 75s. I wonder if those with fish allergies/vegans were aware, but thinking people have probably had it and been

Shingrix Vaccine
Since the new
shingles
vaccine
, Shingrix, is not a live virus, have you gotten the vaccine? If so, did you have any side effects from it? My transplant center and Oncologist highly recommend getting it, but I haven't done so yet. Thanks for your input.

😵💫Crazy COVID story 😷🤧
Next year I'll turn 50 and the
shingles
2 jab
vaccine
is recommended for everyone at that age. I'll be in line 💉 for that one too. Viruses are charlatans, shape shifters and opportunistic buggers. I can't wait for the new booster to become available.

Hi fellow MSers, I have an issue with my right hand always being very cold, much colder than anywhere else on my body including my left hand. I also have foot drop on my right side that goes along with the lesion on the right side of my spine according to my MRI. I am wondering if my cold right hand

pmr and now shingles
hi- I’m on day 6 of aciclovir for shingles. I cannot believe how bad I feel. The electric shock like pains up the side of my head 😱. And the general aches. Any advice? I’m down to 4 mg pred and was doing ok after the initial fatigue when I dropped down . Should I stay in bed? I really can’t believe

shingrix - Ay caramba! Anyone else with major sore arm afterwards?
hello friends Well after being hospitalized with
shingles
in August I was determined to get the
vaccine
. Went this morning and my goodness my arm is so sore as well as tingles in little finger! I am used to basically nothing happening with flu and Covid jabs and sort of assumed the same here.

B12 self injection
So we ordered some panpharma b12 injections which arrived yesterday. My partner has a b12 level of 123 with neurological symtoms and gp refuses to treat. I just got my results from my b12 test result last week a level of 202 which gp said was normal. Maybe this was abit stupid but as I have symptoms

I have also had a
shingles
vaccine
. My grandson is just recovering and we’re waiting to see if his sister catches it. I’m on 5mg prednisone and we’re wondering if I should still be careful and stay clear until the incubation period is over. Many thanks in advance

Flu season here!
Hello folks, I'm interested to know if long term ME sufferers end up with a totally weird immunity. I'm in my early 70's, developed ME following viral pneumonia in my 30's, then over a decade later discovered I also had Hashimoto's thyroiditis (am on thyroxine).I've managed to dodge Covid even though

My Condition and OP - Update.
Hello all. Was having a lie-in this morning - The phone rang and it was the urology waiting list people. I was informed my op to see if the BCG treatment had worked or not, is scheduled for the 8th of October. I doubt very much the BCG will have worked - I think my urology/oncology nurse thinks
