that is good news π Thank you for letting us know. Hopefully the course of BCG vaccines will work well. Iβm so happy to know itβs looking promising.
Thank you HungryHufflepuff - It looked good at diagnoses, then all changed. Until Autumn I was high grade, and BCG is not really for high grade - I am very lucky.
Yes it's great news, also the team seem to have woken up, I wanted BCG all the time, it was taken away as an option in 2022. Yes I will be checked a month or so after every course.
I know it's been wet for months - I have a few European Fan Palms planted, the cold/frost won't kill them, standing water will, I lost three last year. Spring is a nice time for garden, when you can see everything shooting.
I have Iris, Primroses and a few small daffs flowering now. I agree seeing the buds and shoots is uplifting. For the most part of my adult life, I made a living from plant growing and with Fuchsias, even mail order. It was like wages for a hobby.
I live in Lanc's but not high up. Iris just 3 have come up in a container, two yellow primroses and one red and white, daffs are very small. First time in many years I have bothered with primroses. love the yellow.
I hope we have a good Spring and Summer, We really have has a miserable winter - I had a lung diagnosis after a nodule was found on my lung, they would not allow me my BCG - I was with Anne and they said can you just come in here, that was scary. Lung specialist was not that worried over the nodule. he thought it was more likely to be more scarring. That's in the past gonna see how I go with a plan.
Have just this minute received this, and I couldn't be more pleased foryou Ern! Onwards and upwards! Continue to look after yourself. Sending warmest wishes. πππππΉxx
Thank you Ixb1 - It is good news after three years of negatives, only in 2022 they was talking about a Cystoscopy - I really hope that one is buried . x
Thank you Digger0 - I was took off it, so glad I went low grade to get it back, it's not tolerated by everyone, so am am a bit lucky. Glad to here about your friend.
Thatβs fantastic news Ern, your year is definitely starting in the right direction for you. Iβm so pleased for you, keep up with the art too. I really am so chuffed, thatβs definitely put a smile on my face today.
Thank you Wendy - I was weighing it up this morning, I guess it will be a rigid next time and biopsies, seems they now have a plan round removal is not for me. Another pic will be Saturday or Sunday, maybe a seascape or sunrise, I never know till it starts lol xx
That's great news Ern. I hope the continued treatment is effective and next year this time we have full remission. Looking forward to a painting from you soon Best wishes xxxπππ
Thank you JJ-7 - It needs the treatment to be effective and I hope on a regular basis - There is no tumour but the site of the original one hold sway, was high grade but now low grade. so I expect biopsies will still be part of treatment. xxx
There will be a new painting Saturday or Sunday, maybe more conventional. x
I look forward to seeing it. BTW have you seen the film "The Girl With a Pearl Earing 2003 ? I am a Vermeer fan having seen his work in Delft , The Hague, and Amsterdam. I enjoyed the film immensly (Even though a bit historically inaccurate)
No I have not seen the film. I remember on Google it said with Nexflix and Prime, it was not on my region the message I got, now you jogged my memory I will buy the DVD. When I have seen "The Girl With a Pearl Earing" - I can't help to compare to the "Mona Lisa" - There is a nice story to that "The girl with the Pear earing" was called "The Mona Lisa" of the North because by some as the "The Girl With a Pearl Earing" was second only to the "Mona Lisa"
I know which I prefer!
I think with biographies on film in particular loses some accuracy - The same with Elizabtheth 1 and Van Gogh.
If you ever go to Spain, try Malaga and it's superb Picasso museum, I enjoyed it a lot.
Thank you Laurie -climate so different down South - I think though over the last few years, with warmer winters everything is possible - I will now have BCG and after that will be biopsies I think, I am in a kind of Limbo lol xx
Hi Chinadoll81 , BCG is Immunotherapy - It is a weakened form of the tuberculosis (TB) bacteria live vaccine. BCG stands for "bacille Calmette-Guerin," - I have had three courses of BCG without any problems. Read Link
Thank you watergazer. I am hoping it does not return, has changed on me before - But twice since before Christmas it was still there but low grade. That's what i hope it stays at x
Sorry Ern, Iβve not been on the forum for a while, so missed this before. Iβm delighted to hear your news that the BCG treatment has worked well for you this time. Long may it continue to do so.
Oh wow. I am so very happy to read this Ern. See ? No expiry date in sight. What did I tell you. This made my day. Long may it last. Very best wishes to you. xx π
Good luck for May Ern007! So glad there is no Tumour growth! You have so much to deal with, honestly, but I can see that painting gives you joy darling! I do have some acrylic paint! When I have moved to my new home sometimes in April 2024 and I am sorted out, I might give it a Go! I have seen some of your paintings you have posted, love them all ππ₯°π
