today was hard going. Today is the first time I felt like I wanted to stop but kept going.
heart rate was high too which after last few runs is surprising.
The second 10 mins was much better than the first. Pace slower than normal throughout - made sure we’ll hydrated.
Had flu jab so wondering if it’s that or just an off day. Next run planned for Sunday so hopefully extra day between will help. (Saturday is walking and horse riding day)
Rule #1, don't run on the day or day after you get a flu or Covid 19 jab, I have had to postpone my 100th Parkrun for a week because on the Friday before I am due to get my annual flu jab AND Covid 19 vaccination booster just 14 hours before what was to be parkrun number 100 for me Congratulations to you Kksstt on completing run 2 of week 6 not long after you had your flu jab, from now on don't run for at least 48 hours after any jab, by the way run 2 of week 6 is the last run which has interval walks and runs, from now on its non stop running starting with run 3 of week 6 which is a 25 minute run, onwards and upwards 🏃🏾 👍
Could be the flu jab, they knock me out for about a week. Also, week 6 run 1 was longer than week 5 so it could be tired legs, we always seemed to struggle with the middle run of each week after about week 4, now if I run longer one day I take a couple extra rest days. But you know, we all have those runs that feel harder than others. Hopefully the next one will go smoothly.
