I feel so unwell
I haven’t posted for a while as I had been feeling much better....now I am feeling really unwell again. I had a total thyroidectomy after a thyroid storm 18 months ago. I was started on 100mcg of Levothyroxine after leaving hospital which was reduced to 75mcg on seeing the Endocrinologist.....since

where do I go from here, help from the experts please.
I have had advice from this forum which has really helped and I am greatly appreciated of that, but, things for me are not getting any better, in fact I feel I am back to square one again and I've just had enough of feeling like this and desperately need further advice. My neck has began to get stiff

A very happy Christmas to everyone here! Given most shops sell supplements if 2 months supply, it does not take long to run out and have the chance to try other options. I have changed approach a lot this time with the desire to consolidate as far as possible and make life simple. I found a supplier

Merry Christmas and a positive update
I just want to wish everybody a Happy Christmas and thank everyone who has helped me this year. I was feeling terrible back in September and October but mid November I seemed to turn a corner. Maybe I had had a Hashi flare, I really don't know. My limbs still feel weaker than they should be (though

Hashimotos and supplements
Hello all. I've been doing my research on supplements that I can take to support my thyroid function, but also to reduce my tpo antibodies. I currently supplement selenium, lacto free and attempting gluten free. Does anyone have any views positive or negative on the following: *Zinc (without copper)

D3 K2 and selenium
Think I’m right in thinking to take D3 at fattiest meal, is it before, during or after? Also is that a good time to take selenium? I take thyroxine 6 am.

I joined this site a year ago and the PA forum due to advice from people on this site. Thanks to all you amazing people I have taken control of my health not leaving it to the GP. Hi, I'm newly diagnosed. Please somebody can share with me some important information about this disease? My thyroid gland is still working
My thyroid gland is still working ok. I mean my hormone levels are still ok, but my doctor says obviously it is gonna change. As anyone here knows. But I mean what can I do? My throat hurts really bad, and the pressure the thyroid puts on the throat is increasing quickly, the swelling has increased too

Help with result please
Hello everyone, Wondered if I could ask for feedback from my very expensive blood test results, done out of desperation as I continue to remain overweight, despite moderate to poor appetite and low intake due to still undiagnosed stomach problems for which I have gone for every test. GP are saying chronic

Selenium
Do many of you supplement with selenium? If so, how much is typical? If you are thyroidless, would you supplement with a higher dose? Thanks!

Should “ Borderline Hashimoto “ be treated.
Hi, I was feeling unwell, very moody, sleepy and cold. I did some research and saw Hashimoto was a possibly.I even asked my Endocrinologist, who immediately said no. You are depressed. Very soon after that I was diagnosed with Hashimoto by my GP after a blood test. My GP immediately prescribed 15 micrograms

Anyone know why my antibodies have gone up since being gluten free?!
I've just had a blood test and am puzzled by the results. Since my GP is not interested in helping because I'm on NDT I'd love some help from you thyroid brains as to what I should do with my medication. My last blood test was in Feb 2017 (- a basic one with FT3) Last full one was June 2016 before

Measuring iodine before you start selenium?
Hello all! I'd started selenium in an attempt to bring antibodies down (I'm following Isabella Wentz The Hashimoto Protocol) but then I realised that she says in a previous book that you should have your iodine tested before doing so, so I've stopped again. Is this the case? If it does need to be tested

Can vitamin supplementation cause restless sleep?
I've recently started supplementing with B12, B complex, selenium and D3 as suggested by this forum. I take the B vitamins and selenium at night when I take my thyroxine and the D3 at lunchtime. Last night I woke every hour throughout the night and am wondering if this is common when starting vitamins

Is it OK to take B vitamins and D3 at same time?
Morning everyone I’m so sorry to ask this basic question but I’ve searched the site to try to find the answer. I take levo at bedtime. I’ve been taking B12, a B complex, D3, K2 and selenium with breakfast. (It makes it easier to get some iron and vitamin C in later in the day, as I know they need to
