Interesting article about Fibromyalgia
Therapies include narcotic pain medicines; anti-
seizure
drugs, anti-depressants and even simple advice such as “get more sleep and exercise regularly.” Now that the cause of Fibromyalgia has been pinpointed, patients are looking forward to an eventual cure.

How not to spend a fortnight with the nhs
It was only when a more senior doctor had come in at 6 am that had other tests done, and bloods proved there were no drugs in my brothers system. they also weren't telling us anything except the bare minimum, we had no idea why he was so ill, what had caused the
seizure
or whether his kidneys would restart

Started to get a strange feeling in my head last night, and not the feeling I get before a
seizure
. It's probably paranoia, but it's hard to get around these feelings when it means your brain could be bleeding.

Non-epileptic seizures vs epileptic seizures
I was just wondering if other people who have non-epileptic seizures (In NZ they are called pseudo seizures) also have any symptoms such as incontinence, vomiting etc during a
seizure
? It hasn't been confirmed that these are NES yet but if they are, then ill come off my anti epileptic meds.

I see an epileptologist but my attacks do not fit neatly in to a category. The next Dr. I'm seeing is a Movement Disorder Specialist.
My neurologist says I do have epilepsy although I have never had a typical
seizure
, he says he doesn't think these attacks are caused by my epilepsy so he is having me see a Movement Disorder Specialist.

Does any other PSP suffer &/or PSP caretaker notice tremors from mild to whole-body, sometime violent & of long duration?
I WISH someone in that E.R. either while waiting when my whole body tremors were so obvious and/or when I was in the E.R. could've/would've slapped an EEG on my head to rule in our out
seizure
activity. I sure would appreciate (understated) some feedback and responses to this post.

AVM: Another valuable...minformation?
My most recent
seizure
was a couple of days ago so I'm on 200mg Lamotragine two times a day now. The medication makes me feel terrible, and it makes me want to tear houses down to the ground with the unfairness of it all.

Please, could someone explain an Atypical Complex Partial Seizure
Hi. My son`s DR said he is having Atypical Complex partial seizures. Saturday night he had two within a few hours of each other and 1 last week which wasn't to bad. DR changed his Meds last week from Epilim to Topamax. I know the change could have sparked them. But goodness they are not nice to see

Mr De Villiers situation struck a chord
I am a journalist, passionate writer of poetry and up until my recent
seizure
(after seven years) a video game fanatic. When I read about you experiencing "flashing lights" - a aha moment because I tell people that this happens to me before a
seizure
comes on.

Does any one have problem with fluroscent lights?
I can have many
seizure
type events in this environment which make me very tired. The docs don't seem to care that all I pretty much do is sit at home because of it. I feel pretty much like I am rotting away.

Involuntary muscle twitching when asleep?
Since a
seizure
a few weeks back I have noticed that the twitches are much more extreme and more like small kicks ...and even the shoulders move. This now happens when he is also asleep and not just falling to sleep. It is not all night just for 10 minute episodes every hour or so.

Facial spasms and eye blinking
I ended up in the ER thinking it was a
seizure
. That same dr. (even though he didn't come to the hospital to see me) told the on call ER doctor it was a panic attack. Anyway, from then on, I continued to have these types of symptoms, mainly with eye blinking.
