THIS JUST IN
This would be a problem usually because it means if I go down on meds, I'd have more seizures, but as I had my UTI which lowered my
seizure
threshold when I had the last fit, I can go down on the meds safely now that it is gone. So hopefully, I'll feel alright soon.

Hahahahaaaa, finally, some good news.
Well, apparently it increases the chances of having a
seizure
, by quite a bit. So quite a few seizures I've had could be down to that (and most probably were). Usually not such a great thing. In this case, it's the best news I've heard in a while.

Seizure Number 8
I went over my right shoulder (as I usually do) as began my crazy dance moves (a
seizure
). Weird thing was though, this time, I was concious through the whole thing, which might mean the medication is working to an extent.

I was signed off at Easter and put on 10mg Citalopram plus back onto my meds for epilepsy as I was experiencing some "warning signs", having been
seizure
free for over 6 years. My Citalopram was later increased to 20mg. I also had a short course of CBT.

Have you seen someone else have a seizure? Would you know how to deal with it if you did?
It occurred to me that I have never seen anyone else have a
seizure
in real life, despite being diagnosed about 13 years ago and having seizures myself on a regular basis for the first 7 of those years.

Couple of questions about epilepsy.
I acquired epilepsy after my stroke last year, my first
seizure
was in August of the same year, and now I've had seven over all. I'm now on a dose of 2x175mg Lamotragine, and 2x1000mg Keppra per day since my last
seizure
on the 28th May.

Getting on top of epilepsy.
Am I about to have a
seizure
? Am I about to have a stroke? Urgh. So I'm going to ask my doctor for a medication change, although I'm pretty sure that my body just needs to get used to the sheer amount of meds I'm on now, and that it went up so much in such a short amount of time.

Cranioplasty
Sadly, on Sunday he suffered yet another (his 4th)
seizure
, whilst his son was with him. Very scary for his son and him, but at least he was in bed and in the right place!

To medicate or not to medicate?
I am responding well to the meds but have come to realise that stress is a direct cause of triggering a "lingering" or even a full-on
seizure
. I take Azor 1mg twice daily and a sleeping tablet at night (Epitec keeps me awake ?!?)

What is a
seizure
? A Roman emperor. What is a terminal illness? When you are sick at the airport. Name the types of teeth in an adult human. How many are there of each? A permanent set of teeth consists of eight canines, eight cupids, two molars and eight cuspidors.

Seizures - Becoming a nuisance.
So around the beginning of August, I had my first
seizure
. I thought it was no big deal, I mean, I had brain surgery a few days before, it's a given that there's going to be some side-effects.

Does anybody find lack of understanding difficult?
In the past I've also had periods where I would collapse and have
seizure
like shakes but I would be awake. At the time they thought it was MS but they couldn't find anything on the tests so they wouldn't persue it any further. I also have crippling headaches about three times a day.

When life gives you lemons...
I'd rather risk having a
seizure
/brain haemorrhage sat out in the sunshine than huddle in my bed scared of it. Get yourself some peaches, they're delicious. If life doesn't want to give up it's peaches, take them. Take it all back.

Epilepsy week and youth month
Many people with symptomatic (secondary) epilepsy would agree that if it were not for alcohol and drug abuse, either by themselves or their pregnant mothers, they would be
seizure
free.
