B12 and Thyroid Test
I have just ordered advanced thyroid test from medi checks and was taken aback to read that B12 should be stopped 2 weeks before test. Because of neuropathy I self inject B12 every other day and have done ever since diagnosis of hypothyroidism over a year ago, whatever blood tests I have had. Should

Update B12 appointment . help needed
Thank you all for your advice . Had an appointment yesterday and despite feeling exhausted dizzy and having some pins and needles in my hand. (NHS website says 2_3months with malabsorption issues.) . I was told they cannot go against local NHS guidance and got to wait for 12 weeks for my B12 jab. I

Medichecks Folate Range
I've seen mentioned on here a number of times that folate levels should be at least halfway through the reference range. I'm struggling to understand whether a level of 12.2 is too low or not given that it's the product of a Medichecks test which simply states that normal means >7 ie without stating

B12 storage?
I have just realised that my fridge has gone haywire. Temperature up to 2 degrees.Turned it off!In the bottom were 8 pkts of B12 wrapped up in their packing plastic. They are still liquid ,but would this low temperature have destroyed their efficacy? I don't know how long fridge has been cooling.

B12 Jabs treatment changed again
on my last appt with the GP nurse for my B12 jab, my patient notes were changed back from 8 weekly jabs to 12 weekly. My question is can a nurse change my treatment plan on my notes without my permission. I only noticed this when accessing part of my medical notes on my healthcare app. I am unwilling

Confused
So I had an active b12 test done in August and it showed borderline normal at the low end. I was told to do am MMA blood test and supplement. The MMA blood test came back normal so assumed I was OK and that the supplement would raise my levels. I was taking cyanocobalamin. I took this for 4 months and

Hi. I’m new to HealthUnlocked and to this group. I’m also in America, so I hope it’s OK that I post here. I’ll try to put in all the info I have and follow proper posting guidelines. It’s taken me a while to be able to get this post all typed up due to tiredness and brain fog. I just had 3 month follow-up

Chat with GP. Disappointed.
So recent post my TSH is still high I feel at around 4 but just in range but I know and told him about the facts and figures for it and still having symptoms and declined an increase. I feel I should do it myself. .. I can’t afford to see an endo or such so pls don’t suggest. I don’t know what to do?

New results from GP blood test
So the saga continues. Previously battles with GP over meds, even though I am open and honest about self treating T3 and SI B12, trying my best to impart some knowledge or even a little common sense. Reluctantly reduced Levo a bit, from 150mcg to 125mcg daily. Last bloods 15/12/23, TSH 0.01

B12 injections and low dose naltrexone (LDN)
I have recently started using LDN (.25mg) w/ positive effects, however it recently seems like I need to increase my B12 injections. I have only been using LDN for a month. Maybe it is just a coincidence but would like others to share their experience/knowledge about this combination.

Blood Test Advice
I have a blood test booked for 8.40 next Monday. The form says: FBC, Ferritin, Liver function, Thyroid function, Vitamin D. At the moment I supplement with Vitamins B12, B complex, C, D, K2 and Turmeric, Selenium and Magnesium. I have stopped B complex but is there anything else I should stop before

Vitamin d
Currently trying to sort out my health after realising my stomach is not absorbing b12 (am SI). I’ve been on a low dose of d3 (500 ug) for years after being told by doctors it was low. The last d3 test I had my results came back at 68. However, I had taken the supplement that day. Are the test results
