Ritalin

Are those medications WAY BETTER then Ritalin or is Ritalin still a valid option? I'm using Ritalin guys but taking it 2/3 times a day is a joke. Thanks in advance for your help guys

I work full time, and usually just push through the fatigue, but am wondering if Ritalin would help. For those of you who take it--how much do you take and how often? Have you noticed any side effects from the Ritalin?

Will Ritalin (immediate release) also give me that angst because it’s a stimulant?

I was given ritalin for my add/adhd. The hole time I was a zombie now I don't k kw what I'm looking for but are only problem with this country is that we feed kids meds and expect them to be adults when we don't even get raised. Sick of not being heard!

[i]30 years ago I took for 2 years, no meds since then. Issues: interruptions, poor impulse controls, rude, angry and agitated, poor listening skills, poor focus skills, marital disconnect from me, easily distracted.

I am wondering what you think about stopping medications like Ritalin and Guanfacine over the weekend, resuming them Monday for school? I have been doing this to allow her to get her appetite back and get better sleep but I am not sure if I am doing a disservice to my kiddo.

My son recently diagnosed ADHD was put on Ritalin (short acting) once a day at 10mg it’s only been around 3-4 weeks since he started however I’ve noticed really bad smelling farts and constant urination. Has anyone else experienced similar?

I've been on 50 mg of Vyvanse for a few months.My doctor recently added 10mg of ritalin when the vyvanse starts dulling. I only take adhd meds when I work. I'm having a lot of bak pain and muscle pain on days I take the meds. Sometimes my whole body hurts. Anyone else have a similar experience.

recently diagnosed - switched from 20mg x2 daily Ritalin to 30mg Vyvanse. I have noticed every afternoon at the same time I get a red face, red ears, red neck. I also have anxiety so my mind untimely goes to worse case scenario, something very wrong.

The psychiatrist who performed the evaluation recommended starting Ritalin and SSRI. I'm worried what these medications can do to a young developing brain. I hear from people who take ssri's, adults, that they blunt emotional response. Is that important for childhood development?

Two or three times a day, I have been taking 20 mg immediate-release (not time released) methylphenidate for roughly 30 years. The last prescription I filled was at a Walgreens on March 15, 2024. To increase his focus and decrease his impulsiveness, we have tried Ritalin (caused facial twitches), Adderall (didn't seem to do a ton, and when we moved up dose-he wasn't hungry), and now trying Strattera (however, at the starting dose-which typically is doubled after a week, he felt totally sick the
