B12 made symptoms go away
Hi. I had ME/CFS and it seemed to clear up 16 years later. About 3 years ago, I had fatigue, myclonic jerks especially while sleeping which woke me up and tremor feeling inside me. I took B12 sublingual for 2 or 3 weeks and the symptoms subsided. But then I stopped taking the B12 supplements and I have

Getting there, but slowly
More blood tests back now but still don't have all the figures. Serum immunoglobulins all normal Coeliac screen - negative Ferritin 197 (range 13-150) Transferrin saturation 38% (15-45) He's not happy about this even though it's "normal" Homocysteine - normal IFA - still negative Gastric parietal antibodies

Functional B12 deficiency
Hi, I have been around a long time and read every day. I have a hard time understanding what a functional deficiency mean. In my case just a few injections brought my MMA and homocysteine down very quickly. Is that a functional deficiency? Seems like I would understand this by now. I have never

To those newly diagnosed! There is hope!
I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in Dec 2018. My form of Parkinson’s has a huge psychological element that many of you can relate to. It’s obvious because of how quickly I progressed while I was getting diagnosed . My Dad who was my best friend and business partner died unexpectedly in 2013, which destroyed

Sublingual Tiamine B1, shaky and jittery?
Hi friends! I have been taking high dose Thiamine for a few years, now. I started with capsules, usually 4000mg per day. Then I switched to sublingual. First thing I noticed was my hypertension completely resolved and I was able to successfully eliminate the two blood pressure meds I was on. So thats

Help...At my wits end
Hi I apologise if I posting this in the wrong place. I have not been diagnosed with hypothyroid. My Dr and myself thought that may have been the problem due to my many problems! I had a borderline result 18 months ago TSH was 1.05 and T4 10.4 but that is now normal: TSH 1.76 and T4 12.7. I am feeling

Should I request an increase in thyroxine?
Hi there. I’m a 56 year old fit and healthy female despite being recently diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. I have a medication review with the clinical pharmacist at my GPs soon and wanted to know if I should request an increase in thyroxine? I have been taking 75mcg Teva for 6 months but

Methylcobalamin vs Hydroxocobalamin ?
Does anyone else find they do better on methylcobalamin than hydroxocobalamin? I've done some major googling but not been able to find out much and would like to ask if anyone has had the same experience as me? I started SI for years with Methylcobalamin and was doing great. When stocks became impossible

Slow trudge to the finish...
I had a video appointment with my rheumatologist last week. It's a good thing that it was a video appointment as I was in the grip of a very heavy and disgustingly snotty cold. I would have felt irresponsible going to the hospital even wearing a face mask. I hadn't taken pred at all since August with
