Folate/Folic acid supplement
I have been using Folic Acid 5mg oral supplement EOD since starting b12 injections just over three weeks ago. I was getting some loose bowel, so was advised to try Methylfolate every day instead. However I am wondering if I should be using injectable Folic 5mg instead. My problem is malabsorption due

Serum parathyroid hormone
Finally, after a year of the labs refusing to test Vit D, I finally had it tested, and as suspected, it was below the bottom of the scale - 23. So back on tablets and spray, and hopefully my leg muscles will start working again... The lab refusing to test has made me ill...grumble, grumble. Anyway

Since taking over my PA treatment with frequent injections, my symptoms have greatly ameliorated. However, there's one thing I hadn't anticipated. Recently I've had to have a couple of teeth extracted. Each time I've ended up in casualty because the bleeding wouldn't stop, and wondered about B12.

Confusing biopsy results
I was diagnosed with PA early 2023 after years of feeling hopeless and helpless, ( raised MCV , low 'normal' serum B12, positive Parietal Cell antibodies, no intrinsic factor antibodies) and I am SI B12 regularly, to which I am responding well, and finally starting to feel like I am coming out the

Cramp plus update
Hi everyone- just thought I would do an update on where I am at the moment. For the first time ever I am on my way down from 3mg to 2 and three quarter mg , never made it this far before without a flare. Very happy about that. I have also gradually stopped using Lansoprazole after 6.5 years. I went

Started Interferon
About two weeks ago I put a post on here about my anxiety around changing my treatment plan from Hydroxy to Peg Interferon. I had been sent the vaccine but not given any specific instruction about how to self inject. I appreciated the advice I was given from others who had trodden this path before

My RLS has settled for the time being. Thank you for the information and support!
For the past six months, I've been RLS free! I'm so happy about this and it has made such a difference to my sleep and wellbeing. I have the wonderful, supportive people on here to thank, and especially SueJohnson. Because I received such a good amount of information last year, I was able to check

More on D3 supplementation (only if you're really into it)
This may be a bit boring, as well as off-topic; but I was curious; so I looked up a bit more on how much to supplement vitamin D, so as to get the benefits and still be on the safe side.
What's recommended?
In the U.S., the NIH (National Institutes of Health) advises "consumers" to aim for

How soon can I re-test folate levels?
After getting a low folate blood test, I have changed my diet to greatly increase folate intake (can't tolerate any folate supplement). How soon can I take another blood test to see if my levels have come up? It has been 3 weeks since I changed my diet.

Looking for vitamin C infusions in Perth, Western Australia without glutathione?
Dear all Vitamin C infusions were tremendously helpful for my Dad in 2017 when he was diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer and underwent a prostatectomy, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Now trying to find them again. Those I have found include glutathione which I think is not good with cancer.
