TSH lowered fast
Sorry I have another question. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism when I had been coughing/flu for 2 months. my tsh was 27. After 1 month on levo 25mcg the tsh was now 3. I would like to know if the tsh dropped so fast because of the levo or because my flu went away.

Cold feet
Morning, this is my first posting as had no idea there was a site for cold feet and a name for it. Have had the problem for many years and wondering if anyone can suggest anything which might ease the problem for me? Thank you. Paul

Stress
Just for interest I wonder if anyone has ever had any emotional support from any of their medics? For myself no one has ever mentioned this to me as an issue though I get very stressed at times over my deterioration, Covid and I get stressed about being stressed which I think is harmful to me. A

pregabelin side effects
I explained to my dr that sertraline had caused my restless leg to return. Previously it was under control with iron. She put me on a low dose of pregabelin, 25mg to take at night and continue with sertraline in the morning. The first night was ok…ish. I did sleep much better. but the second night

Back to square one but grateful
Hello friends, having already reported that I’d attempted to reduce my Ropinirole medication prior to my visit to see the GP one back on 6mg tablets spread throughout the day and night, Sue agreed that it was probably the best course of action and I’m again getting some much needed sleep and the pains

Chronic stress can take a toll on different parts of your body and your overall health.
Your muscles tense, your heart races, and your breath comes faster -- we all know what stress feels like. The “fight or flight” response is behind it: Your hormones get your body ready to either take on a threat or run from it. If this happens too often -- say, every day during your commute -- it’s

Today I feel great!
Yesterday I had some minor surgery but under general anaesthetic. I don’t know if it is the anaesthetic, the oramorph glug I had post op or the day of complete rest, but today, I feel like I did before FMS, RLS and PLMD came to stay! I even slept completely between wee breaks! Long may it last!!!

pain, cold weather and chicken
Many of us find cold weather increases joint pain especially when outside in the winter months. My 35 year old son who is healthy but permanently broke visits a local supermarket before his 50 minute walk home to his cold flat after work each day. Yesterday they were selling off the hot roasted chickens

Does anyone else notice that their pd symptoms fade when they are sick with the flu or other similar viruses?
I’ve had pd for a long time and I notice that when I have the flu or a bad cold or upper respiratory viruses that my symptoms fade and I actually feel better. It’s weird. The symptoms come back when I’m well again. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks

ropinirole
I have been taking ropinirole for more than 40 years. 1 mg at night. It works for me but now I am terrified because apparently it has been withdrawn and I can’t get it in any of the farmacias in the Valencia region. I tried gabapentin - no effect at wll. I gave just been prescribed pregabalin and didn

PTSD from chronic illness?
Hello lovely people, I’ve been reading recently about the trauma resulting from living with chronic illness. It seems there is a growing body of research acknowledging the traumatic effects of living with a threat that resides in your own body (something they’re calling Enduring Somatic Threat). I

CATCH-UP CORNER...WEEK ONE... Everybody is Welcome...!
...but it is so warm and comfy, here in the Corner. Nearly time to get out my Winterval cushions and go foraging for a few more logs for the fire. Slip off your shoes and come on in, grab a cushion, you are very welcome :) The weather, certainly where I am, has turned. The days are getting shorter

cough with mild disease activity
Hi Everyone I have a cough that comes just once a day in the morning and lasts about 1 hour. it’s very severe and deep in my chest. I have a little activity on the RA front also at the moment so concerned it’s affecting my lungs. Mild scarring was found on my lungs in the past pre diagnosis last

DET fail, 6th transfer attempt - what now?
Help! I have just found out my sixth transfer of my 7th and 8th embryos has failed. I have had one pregnancy that ended in miscarriage at 7 weeks and the rest have all been failed implantations. For the last two transfers i have been on an immune protocol so doctor thinks we have that side covered.

Question
Besides having PTSD and anxiety, I'm also Type 1 Diabetic. I'm on the fence about getting a service dog. I think one would help a lot not only with my PTSD/anxiety, but also my Type 1 Diabetes, since its uncontrolled. Part of me wants to get one because I think it would really help in my everyday life
