What are you doing for yourself this (holiday) weekend?
In the U.S., it's a three-day weekend. Woohoo! My parents wanted to come over tomorrow, but Fridays are my writing days, so they will be coming on Monday instead. As much as I love them, it's tiring to have them over, so that was the boundary I set for myself, and it feels great! So what are you doing

Symptoms of asthma or something else?
At the moment I seem to be intermittently purring like a cat and then coughing up stuff (clear, white or nothing). It’s like some of the larger airways are getting blocked up. I don’t think it’s an asthma thing. The purring sound is like a wheeze but it stops when I cough and is a completely different

Just a reminder / why are nurses appreciated? Vent
Almost nothing can deteriorate your body as quick as stress. I know sometimes we can’t help but feel immense stress with the pressure of our jobs and family responsibilities. But please take a moment the next time you get some free time to do what you need to do to de stress. At work I had 5 patients

Anyone on upadacitinib?
Being put on this due to being in hospital for so long with a flare up and pneumonia, was originally on leflunomide but things went slightly wrong even though it worked fine. If anyone's on upadacitinib I'd love to know your views and if any side effects have occurred for you, thank you. ❤️

Thank you
Thanks so much to all who replied to my plea for advice /opinions on whether to have flu and covid booster jabs at the same time. I am on my way to have the booster jab only and my flu jab will wait a while longer, I'm much less anxious now and no flare-up of afib. Thank you all! Tom

Booster and flu jab together
Slightly off topic, apologies, though I suffer from Pafib and don't want a flare up! I am due to have my booster on Saturday morning and know that they want to do the flu vaccination at the same time. To be honest I feel scared. I'm Eighty years old and not as confident as I used to be. Thanks in advance

Pneumonia
I was ill for 5 weeks, with a suspected chest infection and couldn't get time off work to go to gp. This turned into pneumonia, 2 courses of antibiotics, 2 courses of steroids and 2 weeks off work recovering. I went back to work on Tuesday but am still quite unwell. Im not relying on my reliever inhaler

Flecainide with Afib and LBBB?
Hello, In a bid to stop me going into Afib my electrophysiologist has stopped my very low dose of bisop for what I think says Diltiazen ER and flecainide 100mg bd. I was previously told by my cardiologist I should not take flecainide due to my LBBB. I did mention this to the EP, who said my heart function
