Help! I have just found out my sixth transfer of my 7th and 8th embryos has failed. I have had one pregnancy that ended in miscarriage at 7 weeks and the rest have all been failed implantations.
For the last two transfers i have been on an immune protocol so doctor thinks we have that side covered.
Does this just mean my eggs/embryos are no good? I'm getting good grade blasts but nothing is sticking. My husband is out of hope but i don't know what to think.
I'm 38.
Did anyone else have similar attempts and keep going with OE/do anything different? Should i be considering DE?

Hi darkbuthappyplace I don't have any help or advice for you unfortunately but I just wanted to say I'm so sorry that this cycle has been unsuccessful for you
I wish so much there was some magical solution for all of us struggling. Infertility is so cruel. Here if you need a chat. Sending love xx
Thank you so much for your kind words, really appreciate it. It is so cruel indeed, no one deserves this. xx
I am so sorry for all you have been through.
I do know women who kept going and kept going and they did suddenly have success in later rounds, like rounds 9 or 10 and for them it was just bad luck... but as we all know the maddening thing about IVF is we often never really find out why one round worked and one round didn't and if you will be that woman or not.
I don't know a lot about them but have you had all the Alice, ERA etc tests? I have seen them make a difference for a lot of people.
Good quality blasts suggests you have good eggs. I moved to DE but that was after 6 fresh rounds where the quality of my blasts were dwindling.
The only thing I would suggest is maybe a second opinion? You can literally book an appointment with a consultant at another clinic (we did this after being advised to move to DE after a load of miscarriages and failed rounds). I think it was a couple of hundred pounds but he reviewed all our tests results, round results etc and gave us feedback which was very useful. There was no commitment to do anything more with him but just gave us a different perspective so might be worth a try? x
Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. I'm hoping it's just bad luck and there still is chance but the emotional burden is so hard, i want to know where possible if we need to cut our losses.
We had 4 cycles with an NHS clinic and then moved to a private London clinic who have added the immunology treatment, i have had the best numbers in terms of eggs and best quality blasts with them. Their opinion was to pursue my own eggs, previous clinic thought donor but my embryos weren't even making blasts with them.
I haven't looked at the EMMA/ERA tests, i will mention that in my follow up, thank you. I am up for getting a second opinion for sure. xx
Such a horrible thing to have to go through time and again. Have you had your embryos genetically screened? That might be something to consider if everything else your side has been covered. Or try natural FET if it is an option for you, some people find fewer hormones the better 🤷♀️ you've been so unlucky though, my heart goes out to you both. I've had 2 x top quality blastocysts fail and am struggling, can only imagine how it must feel having been through so many more xxx
I haven't had them screened but it is something my clinic do, so if we go another round i might ask for it. I'm scared that we will end up with no embryos that are normal but at least it might give us an answer to why they're failing? xx
I would probably ask about it if you do another round - would at least save the heartache of failed transfers if you know that any are not genetically viable. Sending you loads of hugs xxx
