My name is Rob from Florida. I appreciate all of you.
I currently have a gfr of 18 which just 11 months ago was between 29 and 32. I have heart disease and diabetes as well. I am 56 years old and am currently taking many tests to get on the donor list for the University of Miami. I am scared I am going to die. I try to stay positive but it is difficult.

Proton pump inhibitors (PPI's) and the risk of vitamin and mineral deficiency: evidence and clinical implications
Many studies examining the impact of PPIs on intestinal calcium absorption are limited by the evaluation of patients with
renal
failure
on hemodialysis or those with hypo- or achlorhydria, two chronic conditions known to adversely affect calcium metabolism [Insogna, 2009].

AF won't kill you
I have read this many times in this forum. And find it reassuring. Could someone explain whether the statement needs to be qualified. My understanding is that persistent rapid AF may over a long period cause cardiomyopathy leading to heart failure. This is the basis for taking rate control meds. And

Heart and Vascular diseases- heart failure INR jumped from 2.5 to 3.1 after medication altered
Thanks skid112 for some good advice and on the site too. My mum's fainting feelings have stopped and she has introduces a little spinach to her diet every second day to see if her next inr reading gets closer to her former 2.5

Palpitations/strong heartbeat
Hi Who else gets them? My heart is constantly thumping really hard. My blood pressure and heart rate are both normal. When I am lying down i can feel my heart pounding. It's nothing to do with my inhaler because I get it any time of day and even when I haven't taken any sort of inhaler for over 12

Peritoneal Dialysis
I would just like to share my experience with peritoneal dialysis. If you haven't read my previous post introducing myself, here a shorter version. I started off with emergency hemodialysis due to high blood pressure. Once my blood pressure was stabilized I was able to get my surgery for my catheter

The Liver and carbs
I have recently been introduced to this woman and find her YouTube lectures fascinating. I have chosen to take what I want and sit on the fence with some of what she says. My recent diet change borrows from Atkins and from Paleo. https://youtu.be/KAGEhkZ-ssY I watched one on Salt the other day and

Aortic stenosis
I had chemo and high dose radio therapy 23 years ago and I now find myself with heart and lung failure as a direct result. I am suffering with Severe aortic stenosis and COPD but I am trying CBD (cannabis oil) to relieve the pain and palpitations. Is there anyone else that has been through similar.

COPD - benefits
Hi Sorry if this has already been asked I have just been diagnosed with COPD 3 weeks ago and stage 2 respiratory failure. Does anyone know how I'd go about claiming benefits or anything. I do work part time as a cleaner and I'm worried the cleaning products will affect my breathing. Any help gratefully

're dental work
I am writing to let you all know that I have had my two teeth out, with little or no bleeding! I stopped taking my Riveroxoban on Tuesday, 3 days before the extraction, as I previously had implants and had horrific bleeding. I have AF and had an ablation 8 years ago. It worked well for a few years and
