ICU with Sepsis

I had Sepsis and multiple problems. Meningitis, pheumonia renal failure an exampl of some of them. I was put in induced coma for three days and wouldn't wake up to day eight. My experience left me wondering what was real and what was "dreamt" I have a chuckle with my family about some things I was saying. I can see funny side of that but it was the worst experience of my life. I spent two months in hospital. Everyone is amazed how well I am now,.

Hey lovey, welcome! For 3 months post coma I thought I was dead, so please don’t panic, everything is very surreal for a while yet.

Have you got an icu steps support group near you?

Thanks for your message. I haven't looked into support groups.It has been 3 months since I got out of hospital and am still managing balance issues when walking. Its all a shock and surreal to myself and family. Cazmcw.

Yeah I totally understand. Check out icu steps online for a support group local to you.

My group is in the Midlands uk and we are a lovely bunch

Balance has been one of my issues as well. Over two years now and still can't walk in a straight line! 😁

Hello, i hope everything going well I spent a month in icu after brain surgery now i can walk independently but have balance issues how long does it take to get back to baseline or does it ever get back to normal? Its been 3 months since i left the hospital
