When the drugs don’t work
Where to begin… my poor Mum had her first hip replacement in 2007, but it broke and she had a revision in 2008. Unfortunately she was in more pain than ever, and they were about to write the pain off as psychological but thankfully she got referred to an Orthopaedic Specialist hospital who discovered

Rash from RT?
My husband is on Radiation treatment 31 of 45. Diagnosed with Gleason 7 (4+3), PSA 4.9 with all indications that it is contained in the prostate, negative bone scan, etc;. My question is, he is getting an itchy rash and some puffiness in his pubic area just above his privates. Has anyone experienced

TURP and Prostatectomy
I am looking at a prostatectomy, but I had a TURP 8 yrs ago. How does this change the risk factors and my potential quality of life for a prostatectomy? If I did radiation therapy, they would like me to have another TURP to remove some of the prostate that is growing into the bladder before starting

I had 7mm bc removed via lumpectomy, due to have
radiotherapy
soon, no chemo required. I am really struggling with the possible side effects of this drug. I know we are all individuals but just wondered if side effects are as hideous as I'm imagining?

Is it possible for a stage of cancer to lower
my husband is stage 4, Gleason 9 and has had hormones, chemo and
radiotherapy
. His oncologist is really happy with how he has responded and all sites have shrunk with no further spread . I guess I am hoping for the treatment has been so successful that it becomes curable, has this happened?

Does anyone have experience of Lenvatinib as a treatment for liver cancer?
After a scan I was told that I had one large tumour and several smaller ones, that the large tumour was near the main artery and was of a size that ruled out conventional treatment, liver transplant,
radiotherapy
, embolisation or any of the current methods of dealing with the tumour.

Brain metastasis on Ovarian Cancer
After that, she underwent a circle of chemo and
radiotherapy
. Two months later, her scans showed that the metastasis had almost halved in size. Unfortunately, in her latest scan two days ago, we learned that it's back and has spread to multiple places in the brain.

They went in and removed 90% of the tumour and has some
radiotherapy
although during the op he took a stoke which left him without the use of his right arm and leg and also aphasia. It is so hard to watch someone so young go through this.

My sct progress
I had my donor cells 31 Jan following 6 days
radiotherapy
and 5 days chemo. My neutrophils have crept up in the last 3 days to 1.15 which is good. However I am really down because of the nausea and am regretting my decision unless this improves

Groin pain
I had intense radiation therapy 6 months ago and all seems to be going well; however, a dull pain (sometimes pretty intense) has developed in my right groin. I can’t think of any way that I might have injured this area, and I’m wondering if there is any correlation with my treatment.

IBRT/SBRT Radiation and ADT
I have heard so many horrifying things here about adverse reactions to those who were prescribed ADT in conjunction with or shortly after radiation treatment. Has anyone forgone taking ADT therapy or does that ruin any progress made from radiation? I have read there is no evidence ADT actually improves

Final STAMPEDE results for Abi with/out Enza when starting ADT.
Although abiraterone-containing trials shared patients who received standard of care (control) with the
radiotherapy
trial, none were randomly assigned to the study drug groups so we are unable to comment on the interaction between
radiotherapy
and hormone intensification.

PSA increasing during radiation treatment
Hi all, Please refresh my memory. Can PSA increase during radiation treatment due to cancer cells dying off? Last month 0.14 and today 0.26. On day #4 of radiation treatment. Thanks!

Amar Kishan, MD, on Optimal Sequencing of ADT With RT in Nonmetastatic Prostate Cancer
In men who received prostate-only
radiotherapy
(PORT), concurrent/adjuvant ADT was associated with improved metastasis-free survival (10-year benefit 8.0%, HR 0.65, P<0.0001) and overall survival (HR 0.69, P<0.0001).
