Here's an update on my sct. I had my donor cells 31 Jan following 6 days radiotherapy and 5 days chemo. My neutrophils have crept up in the last 3 days to 1.15 which is good. However I am really down because of the nausea and am regretting my decision unless this improves

My sct progress
Hang on in there! I was still very nauseous at that stage and being sick every day, even after I came home. You are still at a very early stage and it looks like your neutrophils are recovering well. It might help you to focus on the future. The hospital stay just becomes a nightmarish memory in time. I'm sure other transplant recipients would say the same. I had moments when I asked myself why I was putting myself through it, but I was determined to try my very best to avoid the alternative. Jennie
it will be ups and downs but think of the end result and stay positive. You have done the right thing. It might take a long time but it will be worth it.

Such a long and arduous process for you after a brave , but positive decision. Spring is round the corner and I hope this can help lift your spririts. All the best. Keep us posted.
hi Jennie, it sounds like the worst part is behind you and you're on the road to recovery. Do your best to stay positive as I really believe you made the right decision. Take care.

Even if you decide to take this road, you should stick to it even if you are uncomfortable, and believe that your future is beautiful. From a MPN patient who is considering SCT but dare not make a decision.
