I had intense radiation therapy 6 months ago and all seems to be going well; however, a dull pain (sometimes pretty intense) has developed in my right groin. I can’t think of any way that I might have injured this area, and I’m wondering if there is any correlation with my treatment.

Groin pain
It sounds like an inguinal hernia. You may want to have it checked out.
Interesting. Before I was diagnosed with Advanced Prostate cancer, I had 2 X DVTs plus I had a dull but very painful pain in my right groin before the first DVT. I couldn't run or play tennis. I was 'diagnosed' with an inguinal hernia, no bone scan taken. Pretty much straight after my first ADT injection my dull but intense pain that I had for 9 months disappeared. Please ask for scans to rule in or rule out the inguinal hernia. In the UK the consultant just did it by hand. Good luck.
Finished radiation almost 2 yrs ago and ADT one yr ago, diagnosed with inguinal hernia in the groin. It doesn't really cause me any problems, however I have had multiple challenges with muscle degradation resulting in pain around the stomach, hips, and shoulders and lower back. Scans prove negative. My advice - plan on muscle loss and fight back with physical activity, and weight training. Push yourself to do more physically to counteract the muscle loss. good luck
