I am just writing a little note for encouragement.I was helped by people on this board when I was first diagnosed 15 months ago with PA and Hashimotos and had a TSH of 118 ( yep 118). I know I am a very short way into my journey but I feel like I have come on leaps and bounds. I have a TSH of 0.46 and feel 80% better than I did, I have lost 1st 7lb, my hair is no longer falling out, my skin is not as dry and I can get up in the morning. I do have flair ups which do affect me more than before and they last a few days but all in all I am in a better place. I am on 175mg of Levothyroxine , the doc did want to lower my dose recently because of the low TSH but I went to see her and said please don’t and she agreed not to lower the dose as long as I get regular blood tests, she also said she knows than some people function better under 1 - hallelujah !!. So don’t give up all of you , I am not there yet but am well on my way and 6 months ago I had resigned myself to a miserable life.
I am on: 175 Levo, 4tabs of 750 Adcal, 400mg Ferrous Sulphate, B12 shot every 3 months.
Good luck everyone.

I am so very happy for you! I am so glad that you are feeling much better now! It gives me hope that I too can feel better soon. I have been plagued by symptoms for a while since starting levothyroxine 4 weeks ago. I am hoping my GP will be as understanding as yours!
Thank you HypoF3XXY! I scan the pages of posts here every day, looking for tips, information and Most Importantly Good News!! So glad to hear you’re feeling better and much improved from where you were 6 moths ago. Thank you so much for taking time to share your good news, it’s really encouraging Congratulations and good on you for persisting with getting well. All the best with your continuing good health!
Thank you for sharing. It's good for many of us to know there is light at the end of the tunnel. Be careful with the Adcal. I'm assuming you have lowVit D? I was put on Adcal for mine but I was put of a loading dose first of D3 to get my levels up and the Adcal twice a day was my maintenance dose. The Adcal sent my calcium over range so I followed advice on here and took the co factors of Vit K2 and Magnesium. The K2 takes the calcium out of your blood and deposits it in your teeth and bones where itvitcneeded and the Magnesium locks it in there. If you leave it in your blood then it puts up at a greater risk of gall stones and it can also get into your muscle as well which isn't helpful either. If you haven't been given a loading dose then the Adcal may never help you anyway but if you search for SeasideSusie's posts she has excellent info on dosing vitamins. Etc.
Please check out Dr Sarah Myhill and her advice on bones. Calcium is involved with Osteoclasts and the natural breaking down of old bone. Osteoblasts build new bone.
Taking VitD improves the uptake of calcium from foods and as others have mentioned VitK2-MK7 directs calcium into bones snd teeth. Dr Myhills website will also tell you the other supplements you need too.
Well I thought it was OK, I checked and my last reading was 69.5 for D3 and <5 for D2 , no reference numbers given, my calcium was 2.26 and the higher range for that was 2.6.
Could do with being higher but it's cheap to buy. Have a search for SeasideSusie's posts on Vits etc. She has all the best ways to increase and also recommended levels for thyroid people.
