When should I be taking these vitamins and tablets?
Hi I’m currently pregnant and taking more tablets than normal so wondered if anyone had any advice on when I should be taking the following? Levothyroxine - I take it as soon as I wake in the morning then wait an hour at least before eating or drinking tea. Iron - twice daily - I take it around midday

Vit D levels
Afternoon all Had some of my blood tests back and the only abnormal one at the moment is the Vit D, which I had thought might be low, but is this an AdCal job or something else needed? Serum total 25-OH vit D level 39.4 nmol/L 50 - (normal) Many thanks, as always. Peter

Inflammation dampening??
Good evening everyone, it has taken me nearly 5 years to get to 5mg for the 2nd time. First time I've dropped without any side effects 2 weeks ago. Then 3 nights ago I suddenly found I can get up easily from an armchair during the evening whereas I've always been very stiff (no pain though). I'm trying

Second DEXA Scan Results
In 2018 I had a DEXA scan which showed osteopaenia. NOF was -2, total hip -1.3 and spine -1.9. A few weeks after that scan which, fortunately was done on my left side, I broke my right NOF running a marathon (no fall, classed as a high impact event) and joined this forum. I did leave hospital with

Husband doesn’t want to continue ADT/treatments for stage 4. He is only 51.
Hi! My 51yo husband is stage 4. Positive for ATM gene. He had prostatectomy 12/10/19 (g7, tertiary 5 at multi focal positive margins and aggressive cancer). First PSA at 3 months was 1.44–next few PSAs DT of less than 2 months. Axumin pet showed cancer in several iliac lymph nodes, area in sacrum and

Nerve sparing prostatectomy
Has anyone had nerve sparing prostatectomy? Am contemplating selecting this a course of treatment. Can you share some of your experiences with the procedure and the results. Did the results meet your expectations? Thanks!

Update regarding divergent advice about adding Zytiga to Lupron when PSA undetectable
Thought I'd update my post from a month ago [pasted in below], but my situation briefly is that I've had undetectable PSA for 1.5 years, on Lupron for 2+ years. I finally got to speak with the senior MO at Smilow in New Haven, Dr. Daniel Petrylak, who acknowledged the various ambiguities in treatments

Pain in ribs at night
I'm new to this hub and this is my first post. I have recently been waking during the night with pain under ribs at right side, and often extending around the back. I have to sit straight up for an hour or more until it subsides, as lying down makes it worse. I am guessing maybe Biliary Colic. I

Fibromyalgia and PMR?
Hi there, I am 55 and was diagnosed with PMR in January 2019, put on 20mg pred as 15 didn’t do the trick. Added Alendronic acid due to a poor Dexa scan result and also take Adcal D3, K2 and magnesium for my bones. I reduced the pred slowly and steadily but struggled to get lower that 12.5mg without pain
