Magnesium and MBC
Hi ladies, just a quick question. I take Ibrance and Letrazole together with a monthly Denosumab injection and Adcal +D3. I’ve been having bad cramp in my legs and hands. Mostly wakes me during the night. My Cancer Nurse advised Magnesium. We have a really healthy diet, fresh everything but I feel that

DECIPHER risk
Does anyone know, do DECIPHER post prostatectomy results assessing metastatic and PCSM risk reflect the prostatectomy treatment or do those numbers assess the risk of the tumor tissue without regard to treatment? In other words, are those the risk numbers as if I had done nothing in terms of treatment

Had surgery in June of 2019 for
radical
prostatectomy
and removal of 19 lymph nodes. Two lymph nodes were found to be cancerous. One week following surgery I was given a Lupron shot which I will be on for a total of 2 years for sure. My PSA was approximately 0.10 and has continued at that since.

Osteoporosis treatment
I have had RA for 38 years and taken steroids when necessary throughout this time. Had 3-yearly Dexascans, the last one showing I had Osteopenia. My stomach will not tolerate Alendronic acid or similar. I take Adcal but realise with 3/4” height loss I need to be on something that will increase bone

My PC Story and Cost Info for the Uninsured
At my 64 yearly physical, PSA levels started to rise some so my personal care physician suggested to monitor it quarterly. Six months later it breached the 4.0 level and I went off to see a Urologist. I met with two to get their input and decided to go with Dr. P of Johns Hopkins (JHMI). So I went

Alternatives to Adcal
Hi I responded badly to Adcal and my GP said there would be enough calcium in my diet. I take vitD and K2 plus multi vitamin daily and I’m on 8mgs Pred. However, I’ve been on a bio-sulphate for over three years and want to stop. Any suggestions as to another kind of calcium I could take? Thanks!

Has anyone had this prescribed? I went to collect my monthly prescription and this was added to it. I wasn’t expecting it and of course googled it. But just wondered if anyone else has had it and if they experienced side effects. Thankyou

Hi everyone Bella here. I’ve been a bit quiet for a while just ticking along, having had 5 denosumab injections to date, next one due next month actually. Meanwhile, Monday 19th I’m going to have my second DEXA scan done privately and see if these injections have made any difference. I’ve done this

Support post prostatectomy
My husband is having robotic nerve-sparing surgery today. I'd like to know how he might feel afterwards and the best way to support him. Thank you, this is such a helpful site.

Medical marijuana
Wondering if anyone has used medical marijuana for anxiety? Not self medicating, but actually going to a Dr. and dispensary for a specific type/dose. I see it’s recommended to help but I always used to feel paranoid when I smoked in my 20s.

I just discovered a likely RIGHT inguinal hernia (IH) on July 6, which comes after my March 17, 2020, laparoscopic da Vinci

Adcal and Pred
Would one of our experts please clarify taking Adcal and Pred at the same time please. I currently take all of my Pred, Metamorfin, Lanzaprosal and adcal with my breakfast. What should I be doing? Is the Pred ineffective if taken at the same time as Adcal?

Recent hip replacement following trip on drive now prescribed Adcal D3. Read this can lead to strokes and heart attacks over time.
Will a calcium and D3 diet be better than taking Adcal D3. Also on 20 mg omeprazole which can lessen calcium absorption.
