Any advice for a struggling runner?
Hi fellow travellers, I am writing for some advice regarding my running following my prostatectomy and then salvage radiotherapy. I have been a keen runner since my 40’s and became quite good at it, running most days and completing many marathons. Since just before my diagnosis and up to the present

Pain threshold?
Am I being a wimp & just need to man up? I really don’t know how I’m meant to feel or if the level of aches & pain I’m experiencing is ‘normal’ or as expected - can anyone tell me how they feel and deal with this ? I’m struggling in the mornings with stiff legs, lower back pain getting out of bed. Then

and with a "low risk" Decipher RP score, I had my first meeting today with a local radiation oncologist (Dr. Michcael Ray - ThedaCare Cancer Center Appleton Wisconsin).

Adcal-D3 and Alendronic Acid
When pred was first prescribed I was also prescribed Adcal-D3 and Alendronic Acid. Why? Are these reduced as the pred is reduced, now on 8 down from 20?

Received results today from Axumin scan performed last Thursday. They plan to start me on ADT with radiation in 8 weeks. Thoughts welcome.

New. Post prostatectomy PFM therapy, sling,
Hello! I’m new to this community. I had a RALP (Robot Assisted Laparoscopic Prostatectomy) 11 months ago. I had a Gleason 8 prostate cancer. That problem was solved, my PSA has been zero since then. However, I was left with significant urinary incontinence. I have been doing Kegels ever since the surgery

PSMA Scan Availability
I had a
radical
prostatectomy
in July 2015. My PSA has been rising since that time and my oncologist recommended I wait until it reached .5 and get a PSMA scan. This was after I had started hormone therapy to prepare for salvage radiation, but the side effects were unbearable.

First phone visit with academic hospital on my biochemical recurrence post robotic radical prostatectomy (University of Wisconsin - Madison)
Met with Dr. David Jarrard from UW Madison today over the phone. He is recommending the Axumin scan and I will most likely proceed with that as my next step. UW Madison has a similar perspective to my local urologist (Dr. Robert Vlach at the Wisconsin Institute of Urology) of having the scan, and then

My first love🧡
My Tecfidera ran out! Yes. I’m usually smarter than that-I promise. I had almost a whole bottle of generic Tec(dimethyl fumarate) left over from my first failed attempt at switching from the Tecfidera brand to using the generic form. Full body tingling(Paresthesia) kept me awake 2 out of the 2 nights

Non-invasive diagnostic for prostate margin determination
Is there any noninvasive diagnostic (CT-scan, MRI, etc.) that can determine with reasonable certainty if there is cancer in the prostate margins or extracapsular involvement without having a prostatectomy? I’m looking for something more certain than nomograms and other types of statistic tables.

Itchy burning face, ears, neck
Just over a week ago I started having watery diarrhoea. Have now spoken to my GP and taken a stool sample for analysis but thankfully it is now clearing up. Don't know whether its connected but the skin on my face is burning, very itchy especially when in bed or warm. Its on my face down my neck,
