Hi I’m currently pregnant and taking more tablets than normal so wondered if anyone had any advice on when I should be taking the following?
Levothyroxine - I take it as soon as I wake in the morning then wait an hour at least before eating or drinking tea.
Iron - twice daily - I take it around midday and then late afternoon along with a couple of strawberries for vitamin C (I’m type 1 diabetic so orange juice would be a big hit of sugar). I ensure my first dose is at least 4 hours after the levothyroxine
Pregnacare Plus Omega 3 - I currently take this at bedtime
Adcal D3 - 2 tablets - I currently take this at bedtime
I’ve been taking high dose folic acid at bedtime but this stops on Sunday as I’ll be 12 weeks pregnant
On Sunday I’ll start 75mg aspirin once a day. Is this ok to take anywhere near the iron or is it best kept apart from iron and taken at bedtime or with breakfast (it would then be within 2hrs of the levothyroxine)???
Thank you!

Yes I’m seen by a diabetes specialist and also a thyroid specialist so all covered there. I increased my Levo dose when I got a positive pregnancy test and have since increased again as I was becoming symptomatic (with agreement from my specialist - I told him I wanted to and he said ok 😂).
I’m having a thyroid test on Monday to discuss at an appointment on Friday next week so I’m hoping all is well. Unfortunately they don’t test vitamin levels but I was low on iron when I had my initial bloods done a couple of months ago hence the iron tablets.
I don’t always get the same brand of levo but I’ve never had any problems with either of the brands I seem to get given. What issue would that cause?
The aspirin is because I’m type 1 diabetic so there’s a significant increased risk of pre-eclampsia so it’s standard that you have to take low dose aspirin in pregnancy.
I think I’ll ask at my appointment next Friday to check about the aspirin and when is best to take it. I’ll start with taking it with my dinner I think and go from there.
Yes I do think I have hashimotos as my thyroid antibodies were high when last tested.
I will ask about getting tested for other vitamin levels on Friday. Which in particular are most important as I doubt the NHS will cover the cost of testing everything across the board? Just so I can fight for the most important ones. I was planning on asking when I’d be retested for iron to check whether these tablets are sufficient

Why not just take a vitamin C tablet? You can check whether or not it has sugar in before you buy it.
Not a bad idea! Don’t know why I hadn’t thought of that. I do love strawberries though and they are one of the only fruits that don’t spike my glucose levels... I will definitely look at vit C tablets though. Thank you!
