Immunotherapy Clinical Trial or Olaparib (Lynparza)?
My dad was diagnosed with Advanced PC in summer 2020. Gleason score of 9/10. PSA of 71. Since then, it's been one dose of bad news after another: Prostatectomy didn't bring his PSA numbers down. Bone mets on spine, pelvis, possibly liver. Castration-resistant. BRCA gene present. He did radiology on

Starting ADT
So, after prostatectomy in 2013 and SRT in 2015, my psa continues to climb. The last 6 month rise was from 0.82 to 1.80. A bone scan found no mets; an abdominal/pelvic CT scan showed "some small lymph nodes are noted in the right iliac chain measuring up to 10-11 mm", the size of the nodes being

My doctor rang with the results of my Dexa Scan and I have Osteopenia which he says is post menopausal and age related, and he is happy for me to carry on with Adcal , exercise and diet. He wants another scan in 3 years, so pleased with that. I also mentioned about my psoriasis and swollen toes, and

HAS ANYONE TRIED MEDICAL MRIJUANA FOR DYSKINESIA?
Hi Friends Again, I will like to know if you tried Medical Marijuana for Dyskinesia. How was your experience? Did it help? How much did you take for the treatment and in what form? I am aware that Marijuana helps to relax spastic muscles in people with upper motor Neurone disease, like stroke, and

Has anyone with RA used Blessed CBD Medical cannabis
Hello, after 2 years of treatment I stopped my Biologic Benepali last April 2021 (after 2 yrs it caused a severe, itchy, neck, chest and face rash that wouldn't go away with Betnovate and Piriton). Later in April, I had a steroid injection and my 2nd Astra Z (no after effects) On 16th June I paid £500

Hi, I have reponded to several private messages recently re the above, so just in case it`s of interest to a wider audience, I`m coming to the end of a two Month trial via the Project Twenty21. of Satoline oil 5%THC. unfortunately for me it hasn`t made the slightest difference to my RLS, the only slight

Hi all, If you've read about me, I been through the wars, and still am. Anyone had any luck with medical marijuana for chronic pain management?

Getting ready for clinical trial
I agreed to take part in a clinical trial (S1802) a couple weeks ago, and with that came another round of scans, more blood draws, a chat with a urologist, and a chat with a radiation oncologist. My bone scan had a lot fewer dark spots this time around, and the report said 'mets are less conspicuous'

PSA after Salvage Radiation
Hi guys! I had a prostatectomy in July 2015 and my PSA fell to around .04 following surgery. It has steadily increased over 5 years to .42. I have had a PSMA scan and nothing shows up. In December I decided to go ahead with Salvage Radiation Therapy and completed my 39th treatment in early February

Another Month ........ Another Fracture!🙄
I hope everyone is as well as can be expected? (Vain hope probably, but worth a try)!😉🤞Fingers also crossed for some nice bank holiday sunshine for everyone! (Cloudy here today). I posted in February about how I'd very stupidly fallen down a couple of stairs and suffered a periprosthetic femur fracture

Whole pelvic salvage radiation after positive lymph nodes have been found - clinical trial
I updated this article to mention that a major Phase 3 randomized clinical trial (INNOVATE) in 141 locations will determine whether intensifying the hormonal side of the treatment with 2 years of Zytiga+Erleada+ADT has better outcomes than 2 years of ADT. https://www.prostatecancer.news/2017/12/salvage-whole-pelvic-radiation-after.html

Stubborn HCC patient with good news from docs, but still feeling awful
My dad has been on Lenvima for a year now, had two Y90 infusions and the tumor has shrunk considerably but is still large at 13cm. The blood tests and the scans all show stability. The radiation oncologist said there's necrosis, I believe, or death of the tumor. All that being said, my dad feels awful

PSA Testing before and after a Prostatectomy
Before having a PSA Test it is recommended not to ejaculate for 48 hours before the test, what about after a Prostatectomy....do you have the same constraints or doesn't it matter as you have no Prostate??
