Prostatectomy with pre-ADT?
I have grade 5+3 PCa, biopsy showed 3 cores cancerous, one indeterminate, one 4+3, one 5+3, all on right side. A recent MRI showed 'something' on the other side too, not caught by biopsy. I am strongly leaning toward removal because I do not want to deal with 1-2 years of recommended hormone therapy

Medical Cannabis
Does Indica Med-weed make my anxiety worse? They say its a prescription. I just want to know, before I have a panic attack. My therapist has told me that it could make my paranoid or worsen my anxiety. She said that even though it's medical weed it could be still like the cannabis drug dealers sell

Can anyone shed some light on this subject?
I have posted numerous pieces on my incontinence issues, and I 'may' have stumbled onto something interesting. I have been dealing with constipation for some time now, and finally decided to see a gastroenterologist at a great hospital here in Thailand. Because of my age, PCa history, and not having

Rising PSA - Scan or Biopsy
At that time, my urologist was suggesting that I choose a
radical
prostatectomy
or radiation. Instead, I elected for AS, and my pcp referred me to a clinic that offered AS. In 2014, my PSA increased to 6.8 and my oncologist put me on Proscar and Cardura. The PSA dropped to 2.4.

PSA no longer undetectable. Now what?
I had a prostatectomy in 2017, radiation, and nearly 3 years of Lupron, with the last injection on 5/10/20. Other details are in my profile. PSA was undetectable for 2.5 years. Yesterday's draw shows that it's 0.032. I gather that I should wait for 3 consecutive monthly rises before moving to more

Husband had
radical
prostatectomy
in 2004. Ok til PSA started to rise in 2010 so had 37 radiation treatments. Did well until this year. Jan started bleeding badly in urine. In and out of hospitals due to the excessive bleeding. May 2021, PSA started to rise again. 1.9 to 3.

NCCN re-revises low-risk guidelines
In some of these cases, upfront treatment with
radical
prostatectomy
or prostate radiation therapy may be preferred based on shared decision-making with the patient.” I agree with their qualifications, but would add African-American ethnicity and PNI.

It's back what supplements are ok?
Hi all, Budge up everyone, I need a place at the PMR table again. My last Pred was taken in December 2016 or so I thought. My osteo arthiritis flared a couple of weeks ago but after three days of Flarin it didn't calm down. I noticed after a while a few familiar shoulder twinges and booked a telephone

For those of you who had radiation, how did you manage nausea if you had it?
My brother is in his 4th week of radiation and since day 2 has been extremely nauseous all of the time, he had the beads implanted in his prostate and is doing IMRT for 9 weeks, he is on promethazine but it doesnt really seem to be working well. He didn't qualify for prostatectomy because it had spread

Pain medications?
Is it difficult in the UK to obtain prescription pain medication? Here in the U.S. doctors send you to a Pain Management doctor upon which you are given a very minimal amount (if any). They first evaluate you and make their own conclusions as to whether THEY feel you need it. God forbid you are having

Timings of meds...
Morning everyone. GCA since last September. Tapering on the 5 week, DSNS programme coming down by half mg, now on 9, heading towards 8and half. Meds are omeprazole at 7.30, pred with breakfast at 8-8.30, first Adcal at 11 ish, last at 9ish. AA still reluctantly, but in the weekly advisory way. Question

So glad I found this site
Diagnosed with BC when I was 46, bi lat mastectomy, chemo and tamoxifen. Mets to spine this year after 25 years cancer free. On letrozole and finished radiation. Trying to decide if I really want to take verzenio now or wait a while. The side effects look awful.. I suppose we all debate quality of life
