Welcome. Hopefully your urinary issues will improve over time. You should be doing penile rehab, right?

Nothing yet. Was hoping to get the bladder issues dealt with first. Appointment on 3/15

They are not mutually exclusive. Get started on penile rehab ASAP.

What exactly does that mean?

Use the SEARCH icon to find loads of information on penile rehab. Continence training. Etc.

Join a local support group. Loads of information there, too. Also keeps you from fighting alone.

I had the same surgery as you, and I found the emotional aspects of a changed sex life very challenging at the beginning. I did not find informational groups terribly useful, at least the ones I attended, because there was too little mutual support. Ultimately, I decided to see a psychotherapist who helped me sort it out. I was also fortunate to have a partner who was very understanding and supportive. I wish you all the best in your journey,

Hi guy, another keyboard player, been playing since age of 3. I got to do this journey alone as well but relied heavily on those at this site with their experience, wisdom, faith, humor and the most important, courage. I see you've met "Tall Allen. He helped me a number of times with questions and books to read about this disease and recovery. My RALP was 10/15/19, then penile rehab began. Since then I had 44 days of IMRT with RO and have had implant installed and am still undetected. This month celebrates the third anniversary of my dance with the UROs.

My RO has told me he does not expect to see me the rest of my life. That is best prognosis I have received from any of the doctors. Hang in there and ask the guys here when you really need to know.

Welcome to this exclusive club.

Thanks for the info. Not sure what all the ro imrt etc mean. Still navigating.

There is long list of abbreviations at this site and online for procedures and designations of this disease. Ex: RALP, robot assisted laproscopic protestectomy, whew, ralp is far easier. Lol
