Help
It is one whole year tomorrow that I
quit
smoking
, I get the occasional urge to have one, but can dismiss it easily. I hope it will eventually leave me forever. My problem is I have put on weight, I have been able to manage it, but it's a daily struggle.

So I thought,"I know, I'll abuse my lungs for 44 years and see what happens".
Puking, retching, aching and stuff Till I reached a point where enough is enough I've got to
quit
smoking
, no matter how tough I’m making a stand, No more shall I puff.

I sang in the car today (No 18)
The biggest thing I ever had was a spoon the size of York I had a knife that was larger than life But only had an ordinary fork. The amount of soup, I could shift in one scoop Was on record as being the most Acres of cheese I could spread with such ease But the fork was for baked beans on toast

So excited, I woke at 3 in the morning! Week 5
I’d
quit
smoking
my usual 2 packs a day on Christmas Eve 2012 (my Xmas present to myself) and so suddenly had a load more energy. Hadn’t run since I rowed at university (over 30 years ago now!), but could still remember the highs and sense of achievement. Wanted to regain those feelings.

2 weeks. Serious this time Huh
Well who'd o' thought it. I seem to be OK regarding the habitual aspects like rolling a fag as soon as I get in the car each morning. Having a roll up with my morning break and other key smoking rituals. Oddly enough, none of that is bothering me to much. This I can only assume is because I am still

Giving up Ecigs.
On the 14th. Nov. 2012 I switched from tobacco to Ecigs. Although I've smoked pretty heavily since 1976 I had no problem at all making the switch. I started off with the 26mg nicotine content and within a fortnight was on the 6mg version. I tried the zero nicotine, but they tasted foul! Although

A letter I found , a goodbye to NIC
Written by Leslie Bainbridge and posted on About.com its called Seduction ..and I couldnt have put it better myself ... I was a little intimidated by you, when first we met. You seemed so sophisticated, so cool. And you came with such nifty accessories; in gold and silver, multi-coloured, engraved

'When the Urge to Smoke Hits, Think H.A.L.T.'..an article on About.com
Whilst looking for help on the web I came across this great site About.com. When the Urge to Smoke Hits, Think H.A.L.T. Quitting tobacco is a process. It doesn't happen overnight, but compared to the amount of time most of us spent smoking, recovery from nicotine addiction is relatively short

Happy Wednesday! For all you newest non-smokers, it's middle of the week, almost middle of the month and if you carry on saying no to those cravings you'll be middle way through your first year of being smokefree and much healthier :-) Carry on saying 'middle' over and over again and it sounds such

How do I set a quit date ??
Only you are able to recognise and answer any of the above for yourself then you can work on the next step of moving towards your
quit
date. The key to successfully stop
smoking
and staying stopped, is all in the thinking, planning and preparing beforehand.

What a rough few weeks.....
All this led to me starting to smoke again(
quit
again 4 weeks ago and still not
smoking
so far). Anyway with all that going on I have not been told something can be heard going on in my right lung that was not going on before, in others words I made things a whole heap worse.
