Stopped the Patches now!! Whoop WHoop!!
I'm on day 58 today of Not smoking, and I have been a week without the NRT patches. I didn't cut them down from the high dose to the low dose, I just forgot to put one on one day, and the next day I thought to myself, that I didn't need them anymore, so hence NO MORE patches!! I still chew the 4mg gum

Those of you who aren`t quite ready to
quit
smoking
just yet, why not set the 12th of March as your
quit
date.(no
smoking
day) Get prepared. Buy your nicotine replacement therapy products. Have a word at your local pharmacy or your
smoking
cessation clinic. Read up on all the facts.

PETS AND SECONDHAND SMOKE.
Fortunately, in a 2008 study in the journal Tobacco Control, nearly one third of pet-parent smokers surveyed said information about the dangers of secondhand smoke to their pets would motivate them to try to

smoking
. So be sure to share this info with anyone you know who smokes.

Trying to quit number 500 (okay, not literally but feels like it)
So I know cold turkey won't work, always fails quickly. The nicotine gum just tastes horrible. I had a decent 3 week attempt with patches, but made the mistake to quit early and ended up back on the cigarettes. When I tried the patches again, found that my reaction to them was severe (my arm literally

Hi everyone :) Hope everyone is keeping well and of course smoke free :). I've been following the dreadful situation with flooding in the UK and I hope that everyone is keeping high and dry! It's still warm and sunny here in tasmania as we move towards autumn. Well I'm pleased to say that I have

Saw this interesting article in the paper this week, which I thought might interest people.
"Smokers who believe that their habit relieves stress and depression are mistaken, according to research. A study found that the effect of quitting smoking was the same, if not better, in tackling mental health problems such as depression and anxiety as taking antidepressants. The team of researchers

My craving monster is throwing a major tantrum.....
I see the craving as a naughty child and right now it's throwing a paddy from hell... Throwing itself on the floor with legs and arms flailing, and screaming until I give in :( .... Luckily I keep putting it on the naughty step, but I feel it brewing in my tummy for some reason! I am surprised as I

Quit smoking, gums are sore and on FIRE...
Is there anything you suggest to help ease this pain? I am also getting a sore throat here and there, but It's mainly my gums (In particular, a sore spot now). In about 2 days It will be a complete month of no smoking for me after smoking 2 packs a day for the past 5 years, 1 pack a day for some years
