Almost 5 weeks quit
I quit vaping on 28th October 2019 and I want to tell you the story of how and why in order that hopefully it will help other people just like I have found solace in this group. The moment happened when I’d hired a beach buggy and upon returning said buggy I left my vape in the glove compartment.

A whole year, I think
I almost missed it. That’s how little I think about smoking these days. I haven’t used a tracker, so I don’t know exactly how much money I’ve saved, I also always used to lie about how much I smoked, but at least 4 and often 6 packets a week at £8.00 or £9.00 a packet is at least £1800.00 .Lot of money

Anxiety and Stress
It’s been just about a year and 10 months since I last smoked. Over the course of this time I have had a lot of ups and downs. I worry about everything. My anxiety kicks in and does not let me be myself. I went back to college and played a full season of soccer. Everything was great. I met a lot of new

4 days No vaping
Well today was day 4, the heavy cravings have subsided and I may be speaking too soon, but this is easier than I thought It would be. I understand nicotine is out the system after 72 hours so that mark has passed that now. I'm am eating a fair bit more and will have to make sure I don't swap one crutch

Thought I was dying!
After a high speed drive to our emergency hospital on Saturday night, I have decided to quit smoking after 30+ years. I’m a 47 year old woman who has smoked 20 cigarettes a day since being a teenager. On Saturday night I couldn’t breathe (triggered by a bad cold that went on my chest) and for anyone

Mind Games
I keep telling myself that I may as well start smoking again if I am going to feel this dreadful for the rest of my life. I’ve been here before so know that these are just tricks the mind plays with you to get you to start again. Having said that though it really would be easier if I felt joyful and

Day four since quitting cold turkey. Oh my god I never thought it would be this hard!! Emotionally and physically. I’ve been sleeping loads and exercising every day. My top tips for getting through those first three days: 1) WATER - like all the time. You will be going to the toilet a lot... 2) Exercise

Yo team - It’s funny reading back at my old messages and realizing that I was bloody naive and thought I’d cracked it. I realized i hadn’t beat my addiction when work suddenly became very quiet and all I was left with was my addict, and you guessed it, my mind twisted it’s way around to making me think

Quit drinking
I finally gave up trying to justify my
drinking
, and
quit
. I have been sober for 3 weeks. It was tough and still is, but I see great benefit in my overall anxiety decreasing to a more manageable level. This group provides a lot of support. Thanks.

Day 80 and vigilant
I’ve been a part of this quit nicotine cycle for years! After 35 years of puffing away for all reasons, when I was sad, happy, joyful, excited any emotion really, I smoked! I also hated smoking! The love hate that was strong! I’ve made the break even though I’m one of the ones that go through crap to

Quit smoking 2 days ago
Hi all, I found out I am pregnant 2 days ago and stopped smoking immediately (I don’t know how many weeks I am yet). With all the hormones and withdrawal from nicotine it’s so hard. It sounds silly, but I can’t stop crying and feel so sensitive. Does anyone have any tips to help? I booked in for hypnotherapy

Issues after quitting smoking
Hi Guys, I quit smoking around 4 months ago but have had Shortness of breath and a tight chest. Had all tests come back clear and the Doctor does not think that I have anxiety either. He also does not seem to know much about what happens to the body after we quit smoking? When did anyone have any relief

The Safety of Being a Social Smoker
Courtesy of Very Well. Most of us know someone who only smokes when they go out drinking with friends, or occasionally in some other social setting. It takes them a month to go through a pack of cigarettes, and they don't seem to crave cigarettes at other times. Unlike light smokers, who smoke 10 or

Giving up the NRT
After the bad experience with the nicotine patches, feeling jittery and sick, I removed it half way through day one and decided to use only the inhalator. I only used that yesterday in the morning and after my evening meal. But it was the worst night sleep ever. I normally sleep through every night.

OMG 😮
Oh my that was a super hard start to the day....... but just about to go into work and with the help of the inhalator I’ve balanced the mood out. Struggles like this are certainly a trial but keep smelling my hands, hair and clothes and it’s a lovely reminder that it’s good to rid of the horrible smell
