Currently feeling the best I have done in the last 2 months by some considerable margin – pleasantly numbed by a combination of meditation, Propanolol and Diazepam (20mg and 2mg today).
Just wondering when I might convert back to NSR. Tried doing a bit of exercise in case that might help me self cardiovert, but no such luck.
(Not expecting anyone to know the answer!)

Alas, you are right! One of the hardest things to accept about AF is that it is random. People get frazzled trying to spot triggers and patterns and finding a supplement regime so they can feel in control but once you have taken care of the basics which you probably know by now you may as well chill (better for AF anyway) and try to live your life as well as you can day by day. I can hear you yell 'That's easy for you to say' and it is but I have had to learn the hard way over a long life how to accept what I'm not, for whatever reason, going to change.
So odd that, even in the 21st century, we don't understand why. Plenty things seem random in the universe, but absolutely nothing is. Everything follows laws, we just don't understand most of them (certainly on a biological level).
Previously I felt rubbish in NSR. Permanently lightheaded, occasional dizzy spells, pins and needles in my arms. I have since learned that all of this was anxiety. After 5 days in AF, this morning I cardioverted with a short sharp bike ride, and I have felt absolutely brilliant ever since. Even managed a jog. Been taking diazepam and propanolol for the anxiety for a short term fix. This is just my experience. Seems everyone is different with AF.
