A long journey, getting too tired..
I've been managing my anxiety and depression on my own pretty much done I was 4 and had my first panic attack. I've gone through I grew treatment centers but the only thing I learned was how to fool the staff to get out so I could go back in solitude at my (abusive) home. Now I have kids of my own

Name as a Trigger
Does anyone else have a name or something similar as one of their triggers, and if so, how do you cope? I’ve worked through a lot of my trauma, especially with emdr, but there are certain things related to my trauma that just throw me into a panic attack even years later. Unfortunately, one of those

I’m new here
I’m new here. Had sepsis last year ICU admission. Still have issues, mobility, etc. Had terrible delirium, PTSD but EMDR has helped this. Recently returned to work but tire easily.

I want to recommend EMDR and Prazosin for PTSD
They both work pretty good! ESPECIALLY EMDR, it even helped me with my fear of heights and now I can ride roller coasters! Prazosin is an RX for flashbacks.

EMDR Experiences?
Postitive or negative? Did it help or hurt? I am new to this community but trying to find some answers about how I should proceed. I started with a bad practitioner who did not set it up properly/could not see me as frequently as I needed. I finally found someone who can see me twice per week but I am

"I have always known that I am not alone in this treatment, but therapy has helped me accept that I am not the problem."
For years my name has been drug through the mud, and for years I obsessed over how to clear it. How to "set the record straight"- I thought I was losing my mind because I could not figure out why. I could not understand what I did. At one point, I convinced myself this was my karma, that maybe I deserved

Trigger Warning: Living with suicidal ideation
Hi everyone....first off please let me say that I have no plans to hurt myself however I do feel that I live with the idea of it most days. I have ocd, ptsd, anxiety and depression due to an event that occurred 4 years ago. I have a wonderful therapist who I am doing emdr with, I take meds, etc.....

EMDR
Hi everyone New here but I just wanted to share my experience of treatment with EMDR for anyone considering it or potentially struggling with it. I have been having EMDR since October and I won't lie, it is draining and it takes a lot of work. But I really have started to see a difference in myself

Emdr success stories .... what is the best thing it has done for you?
Hi...for anyone who has successfully done Emdr or who is doing it now, what would you say the best thing that has done for you is? I know it does not erase memories but how has it helped you move on and live life with them? I am still in the process. UThanks.

What is the saddest part of depression for you?
The saddest part of depression for me is having everything in the world....adoring husband, wonderful adult children, a gorgeous grandchild who is a joy, more money than I will ever need, etc.....yet feeling absolutely no joy at all, not enjoying the things you used to, never laughing, wanting to live

Going through a rough time
I’m going through a rough time right now with depression primarily. It’s a chronic problem and has progressed to be quite severe over the past 3 years. Does anyone here have an obsession with words?
For 2 years I have always had the word absurd in front of my eyes and I'm tired of this now. I can not do anything I love. it seems like this word will never go out of my sight. Medication didn't work. I am currently receiving emdr therapy, it has helped a little but it cannot destroy the word. What

Have you had EMDR and what was your experience with PTSD relief?
Hey there everyone, I have been working through PTSD since I can remember. I have had therapy for the past 3 years and have "graduated" to EMDR. I really want something that will help with my symptoms. Like, really help me move on and live my best life without that panic and paranoia.

EMDR Therapy?
Hello Everyone. I am new here. I am curious to know if anyone is doing EMDR therapy? I am hopeful that it will work for me, but would like to connect with others who are going through EMDR currently or have completed it. Thanks so much.

Hello!
Hi everyone! I just started listening to 'Heal Your PTSD' and this forum was suggested. I'm pretty well on the road to healing, but can't shake lingering fear some days. I have been in CBT therapy a year and a half, only going once every few months now, and I'm about to finish up EMDR in a couple weeks

FND treatment for adolescents
I have a granddaughter who is 13 and has been diagnosed with FND 2 years ago. We have met with numerous Doctors, Neurologists, Child Psychiatrists, experimented with Chiropractors, Brain Balancing, EMDR, and healers to no avail. She is confined to a wheelchair, non-verbal, has seizures and black-outs
