Notriptyline
Hi everyone just wondering how long side effects last when starting this medication? I started nortriptyline 4 days ago and I’m feeling really light headed dizzy not really “there” as such. It’s such a horrible feeling! Please tell me if this is a normal “adjusting” period and how long I’m in for or

Nortriptyline : neuroprotective? Anti-depressant previously studied, Cure Parkinson’s planning a trial (Thank you Cure Parkinson’s!!)
Can anyone taking Nortriptyline please share your experience? Have you experienced any evidence of it being neuro protective? I’ve contemplated seeking an antidepressant and if it has evidence of being neuro protective, then obviously that’s very compelling.

Nortriptyline capsules
Hi All, I had an online appointment with my neurologist this week and I mentioned neuropathy pain again. He suggested Nortriptyline, generic for Pamelor, and I’m to start at 10 mg. in the evening and work up to 50 mg. in five weeks. Has anyone tried this? Any negative side effects? Debbie

Duloxetine and nortiptyline
Hi All, I am new here and really benefitted from reading through all the posts. I was diagnosed with fybro a few years ago and have been on 10mg nortriptyline since. Things have started getting a bit worse this year and I was prescribed 10mg Duloxotene too. I am really scared to take them together.

nortriptyline - treat IBS, functional heartburn and depression?
Hi, Could some please enlighten me on the affects of taking nortriptyline? I’ve read that it’s not effective in treating pains. However, I need help with functional heartburn associated with anxiety and depression. Has anyone experienced or is experiencing FH? What has been or is your current treatment

Swollen belly with Nortriptyline
Is there anyone else taking Nortriptyline who gets a very swollen belly/abdomen? I am only on 30mg per day (taken at night). I will be speaking to my GP on Monday, but wondered if anyone else has experienced the same? It’s desperately uncomfortable. I am taking it for dysesthesia/neuropathic pain.

Lexon must pay £1.2m as CMA nortriptyline probe upheld
This story is, as it stands, off-topic. But the CMA case regarding liothyronine continues. I would say "apace", but it is rather more "abed" as in it feels as if everyone involved has gone to sleep. Nonetheless, a CMA win is possibly marginally good news from our perspective.

High Heart Rate with Nortriptyline
Hello, I’ve started Nortriptyline after being on Amytriptyline for 9 years. Since starting, my resting heart rate has gone from 70/75 to around 82. Anyone had similar experience? Many thanks

Pregabalin or duloxetine for burning pain
Hi, I was offered a choice - Pregabalin or Duloxetine for pressure allodynia - burning pain Has anyone had a good experience ( maximum help and minimum side effects if that's even possible !) with either of them for burning pain? I tried Nortriptyline for 6 months but it didn't help much and I had sinus

Clutches of Migraine with Auta
Still going bananas with these silent migraines. Doc says not to worry. Has put me on 10mg Nortriptyline a week ago. But still had another one yesterday. Same as ever. 25mins shiny zig zag lines. That was first for 2 weeks tho. Was hoping the nortriptyline might have stopped it. Doc said thinks scans

Appt update, not as well as I’d hoped
Well.. so my new neuro muscular specialist has come to the conclusion that I have small fiber neuropathy (not new information) as well as being under the assumption that my positive ganglioside antibodies are from cross reactivity since my antibodies are slightly elevated and I have symptoms that match

Depressed or Bipolar
Was diagnosed in early 2019 with a major depressive episode (out of nowhere). Was admitted x3, lots of different medications and several rounds of ECT...some good days most bad days. They want to start Latuda on top of Prozac, nortriptyline, Trazodone and Lamictal... adding a second mood stabilizer -

Nerve pain
Can anyone please recommend a painkiller that helps with acute nerve pain? I’m already taking Nortriptyline so I’m just after recommendation for helping ease the pain. I’ve had nearly 24hours of a bad attack and I really need to get some proper sleep tonight. Thanks.

Candersartan vestibular migraine
Hello! I’m about to trial candersartan. Has anyone had success with this for vestibular migraine? I have tried amitriptyline, nortriptyline, topirimate and propranolol without success so I’m hoping this might work!

Occipital Neuralgia: UPDATE
Hello everyone (: I hope you all had a good day, despite these nasty pains! I had posted something last week about me possibly having Occipital Neuralgia. I had my appt today with the pain specialist/neurologist and, well, it turns out that I do! Honestly, in a good but weird way, I am relieved. Wanting
