Hi, I was offered a choice - Pregabalin or Duloxetine for pressure allodynia - burning pain
Has anyone had a good experience ( maximum help and minimum side effects if that's even possible !) with either of them for burning pain?
I tried Nortriptyline for 6 months but it didn't help much and I had sinus headaches every day when I was taking it
I found pregablin not helpful I'm struggling with burning itchy skin it flares in summer and winter I also get mottled skin it's so annoying I've tried antihistamine steroids nothing helps what so ever I feel sun burned and myskalp is so damn itchy I'm takking duloxotine it's helped with panic attacks and anxiety x
I was on pregabalin years ago, caused terrible weight gain but at first helped with the pain. However my body became too used to it and when I reached max dose I had to change medications
My e xperience with Pregabalin was not good. I had breathing difficulties, and vision problems, I found it difficult to focus. In addition I put on weight, not sure if this was due to Pregabalin but it is a known side effect. Sorry I can't be more helpful. X
