SSRIs versus SNRIs for Depression and Anxiety
Has anyone had any success with SNRIs for their depression and anxiety? I don't understand how blocking norepinephrine would help at all. I had a report that says that I have short serotonin receptor genes and my psychiatrist wants me to try Pristiq which works 10-to-1 on serotonin versus norepinephrine

Anyone experience clotting with mirena?
I had the Mirena fitted in Jan whilst on prostap. My last 3 month Prostap injection was in March. Around mid-October I started with lower back pain and spotting which I guess was the mirena working /Prostap wearing off. Iāve now been bleeding for 11 days and have started clotting which I did regularly

Questions for the RO for my upcoming video conference regarding options for early salvage treatment (and ADT) after Radical Prostatectomy?
I had my radical prostatectomy (RP) on 6/3/2019. Given my pathological results (see below for details) and the definite trend in my PSA levels over the last 18 months (see graph below), my surgeon now thinks I should pursue early salvage radiation therapy and I agree, but now trying to decide on the

MRI results
Hello all - MRI results surprisingly were released about 2 hours ago. Not sure why on a Sunday. Ryan had a thought that if they were released on a weekend that it was obviously good news. It is not good, nor completely bad. There were no "definitive" language used. Words such as "suspect" and "compatible

Lap with general gynae found no endo, should I pay for a second opinion with endo specialist?
Hi, sorry for long post, going into detail in the hope someone recognises symptoms. I have had pelvic pain most days for around five years. Mar 2019 I had a laparoscopy to look for endo. None was found but they did find adhesions around my bowel and appendix. I was referred to the surgical team but they

Very high LFT results
Hi, Iām new here. Iāve been worried sick since I got my blood test results last week. GGT was 310 and ALT 185 Also something called C reactive protein was 6. This was after I went to the GP with some epigastric pain and over a two day period. The episode was exactly like a gallstone attack and the pain

Hi all, I have no idea if I have a thyroid problem, but I think I do. I have been struggling to conceive and whenI have I have suffered miscarriages. I also noticed 3 years ago a small goitre in my neck. I had tests done in the summer as I spoke with my GP about being tired and my neck and my fertility
