I'm an 81 year old man who has had an enlarged prostate for several months. PSA tests levels 9.1 and 8.1 (several months apart). My Father died of prostate cancer, which had spread to other parts of his body. Follwing a Digital Anal test, my prostate was reported as "smoothly enlarged and sulcus palpable

Does PSA drop after starting ADT tell us anything?
My husband started Firmagon shots a month ago. Before starting his PSA was 5.9. It was tested a few days ago and it’s 1.4 now. Does this tell us anything of any significance? Thanks!

Xtandi/Orgovyx Combo & Heart Rate
My MO added Xtandi to my Orgovyx regimen in late January. I am oligometastatic - one lymph node - and PSA is 0.07 with testosterone at 9.63. I am not castrate resistant. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced slowing heart rate (bradycardia) on this combo. (I also take Myrbetriq which may

PSA Rising
RP 2 years and four months ago. PSA went from <.02 to currently .27, Testosterone at about 600+ Since surgery, there has been no intervention. It looks like it is time to take action. Does the group have any suggestions?

Nubeqa vs Zytiga?
Hi all, got notice last evening that Nubeqa will no longer be covered by my drug provider. Apologies I should have said this in original post: What happened is Nova Scotia just in February approved Nubeqa, this then means that I would have to apply for my insurance to cover it INSTEAD of the compassion

ADT Holiday?
I'm posting for my husband. Gleason 9, cdk12, reoccurrence 18 months after RP. Scans cancer in lymph node and possibly sternum. Had radiation and 2 successful years of Orgovyx and Zytiga. Dr says he can take a holiday from meds but my husband is concerned that the cancer will return without meds

PSA undetectable
After surgery PSA should be undetectable. What does it mean. Once the lab give 0.03, once 0.04. I guess it s the lab (standard error of the machine), but what is the limit of the lab and when should i consider that THERE IS a PSA. Why is PSA still detectable after surgery should nt it be 0.00 ?

Expanded label sought for 177Lu-PSMA-617 in prostate cancer: about time
I have already done the taxane part and I would like to see how 177Lu performs as first line...but this is also interesting, it seems more effective than a change in ARPI in castration resistant setting "Data also showed that a PSA decline of at least 50% was more than 2.5 times more frequent with 177Lu-PSMA

Methionine restricted diet for recurring PSA and positive PMSA pet scan w/ 1 bone met
quick to the point. PSMA pet showed 1 L2 small met and some lymph activity. My PSA went from 2.01 to 2.9 in one month. after doing some research on diets and supplements . I found that the keto diet is extremely high in the amino acid methionine and I made it worse trying to reduce my blood pressure

PSA continues rise...PSMA remains good
To briefly review, now 69 years old, had RP at Hopkins in Feb 2018. Gleason 4+5. Margins clear. Organ-confined. PSA undetectable for two years...then an ill-advised and reckless PSA holiday for three years until Aug 2023 when PSA measured in the range of 7. First PSMA that same month entirely negative
