ive got intersitial cystitis to the degree that my bladder walls bleed! is this connected to the fibro?
Hi, My GP believes I have this too but I am waiting to see a urologist for the second time. I have researched a bit about the condition and what I found stated that it is connected.
Have drs suggested treatment or have you been through a treatment process?
I have blood in my urine so fear I also have the same, I also had a high level of skin cells in my urine which would indicate my skin is coming away from somewhere....Gross!!!! x
had stuff injected into bladder via a catheter which i had to hold in for as long as poss (hard when you also have overactive bladder!!) this lines the bladder to stop the wee attacking it.
(as interstitial cystitis is caused by the bladder lacking the protective layer inside which stops the urea attacking the wall.)

New here Subject close to my heart I also have Interstitial Cystitis and has nothing to do with fibro, have had a bad bladder for as long as I can remember, also had the Installations had them for a year and didn't work either, I also get blood and skin bits in my wee no not nice but the pain I suffer is just awful don't get the stinging pain when having a wee it goes into my pelvis and hips and stings there have been on a daily antibiotic for the last 2 years plus nothing else can be done have IBS too so not much fun really and that is before the fibro lol I have had that for 19 years but badly for 15, not helped today with it being so cold and have caught my son's virus Grrrrrr!!
