Hello all I am type 2 for about a year now
My doctor started me on metformin 4 tabs a day and Victoza 1.8 a day. I have lost some weight and have been feeling great. So, at 6 months, they lowered the metformin dose to 2 tabs a day and kept Victoza the same. Still feeling great and a1c is great. So they just took my Victoza down to .6. Not

BUN
My BUN is lower than normal range at 5.55. All liver parameters and other kidney parameters are within normal range. What could have caused BUN to be lower than normal?

Social Experiment FROM Someone Not Very Social
The power of fasting then binge ... you ever had sweety craving WELL it could be your body trying to burn lactate acid off. According to cancer research WHEN you fast your lactate acid stays the same BUT when you binge after fasting your body suffers speed wobble and burns excess lactate acid off.

Keto diet
I know this one may be a little niche however I was wondering if anyone is running while following the ketogenic diet. High fat medium protein and a whopping 20g carbs per day made up from above ground vegetables. We’ve been on the diet for approx 3months. So far (starting week 4 tomorrow). Duck and

Both T1's and T2's can benefit from LCHF
It is a proven fact that T2's get benefitted by LCHF. The article below says that even T1's can also get benefitted by LCHF. The article says : (1) In view of the recent findings that the saturated fat and cholesterol has no role in increasing risk of heart disease. (2) Eating too much carbo with less

Pre Diabetes
I recently joined this programme following my annual check up. I thought I was eating sensibly. I’m happy to say after 4 weeks I have learned so much about carbs and how to reduce their intake. I am losing weight each week. Main culprits, bread, rice, potatoes and pasta. I thought I would miss them

No Pain No Gain
With grit determination I accomplished the 9 week conditioning period, at best running 7Km. With combined focus on diet I have lost 8lbs, & to really ice the cake my Type 2 Diabetes medication has been reduced. You would think life is pretty easy now, however.... I have just discovered my running posture
