Pre-diabetic. Related?
Only abnormality was fasting glucose at

level. Blood sugar has always been low. Diabetes in my family so I am very careful. I am probably 10 lbs overweight, not a lot ( 5' 3" size 8). Could this be related to PBC? Any thoughts? Super aggravated

pre diabetes
Had an NStemi and stent fitted in Oct last year. Obviously a shock and have been following all advice, did cardiac rehab and going on daily walks and gym twice a week. I asked GP surgery for cholesterol blood test to see if it had gone down further and particularly if bad cholesterol had gone down. However

New to group !
My T2D is now in Remission and my blood glucose levels are now in the normal range below
pre
diabetes
. I have completely changed my diet and now at the gym 2 or 3 times a week . I have also just been discharged by my cardiac rehabilitation team and now looking to maintain current lifestyle!

Reducing steroids and adrenal symptoms
But my HbA1c measurement remains around 41, which is just outside the borderline
pre
-
diabetes
figure. So my question is whether this is just another early symptom of steroid reduction? I am a long timer with PMR, since 2017, and flares have kept my Pred dose 7-9mg for most of the time.

Pre diabetes post bypass surgery?
I had an alarming text from my GP surgery telling me the result of a blood test showed that I’m pre diabetic and that I could enroll onto a programme to improve my lifestyle! I was absolutely shocked . I contacted my GP surgery (using the irritating on line form /application for advice of doom 🤦🏼)

Getting diagnosed with diabetes with under active thyroid
Now I think I have
diabetes
. My blood tests have shown
pre

diabetes
but the GP won't prescribe Metformin. Has anyone else had this experience. Is my endocrine system slightly different to most people?

Is that discoloration around the neck insulin resistance?
Glucose show okay but I know
pre
diabetes
doesn’t usually show on tests. I’m concerned about it. Over the internet acanthosis is more obvious with lines and streaks over the neck and it’s usually darker but I’ve yellow discoloration.

Pre diabetes update , raised uric acid,
About 2 weeks ago I had some blood tests at the GP surgery , received a text telling me I was pre diabetic and offering me to join a program to make health choices etc. I was shocked, so was my GP. She went through my history, current rehab, nutrition etc and thought the result was a false positive.

Pred reduction and feelings of low blood sugar
I did develop
pre
-
diabetes
once I was on pred but that has been brought under control with diet. My questions is why the symptoms of hypoglycemia now? Is it because the pred is being reduced and I am also keeping sugar in take low or what? I hate the jitteryness that comes with it as well.

diet for you (hence the greenery replacing cake in the title. Normal menus will be restored next week). I am sure today’s long run will puncture the VO2 max balloon, but I definitely don’t care! So, over to you; how are things going with running and otherwise?
