More exercise can reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
Hi everyone, I bet lots of people feel if only they knew now before developing type 2 diabetes that a few simple steps could literally have turned things around and prevented type2 D in the first instance. I think as well as monitoring blood glucose levels its important for diabetics to improve their

Cholesterol
I'm currently trying to lose weight and my GP has told me my cholesterol is slightly raised. I don't know the exact numbers. All the conventional wisdom is that we should eat low fat foods to lower it but they are often processed and/or full of sugar. I guess my question is, has anyone here actually

Intolerance to thyroxine ?
Hi there, I have Hashimoto and have been taking Levothyroxine/eutirox for 5 months. Wk3 run 2. Seems quicker
So I completed the second run of week 3 this morning and although I’m following the podcast it seems that it’s all over quicker than the other weeks. Is this a normal feeling. I’m recovering quicker too which is nice. On the type 1 diabetes front I’m having to drop my doses of insulin and finally, bpm

Returning newbie
Hi all I ran marathons 30 yrs ago, with good times, but a desk job, children and retirement have taken their toll. Add in sleep apnoea and weight issues with type 2 diabetes and I'm pretty knackered. But I can come back from this; just need time and a bit of motivation and application. So, more later

I am a 67 year old man who has of late been very ill. On top of diabetes I now have a incurable autoimmune disease called Bullous Prehemgoid. Taking steroids and I have been ravaged with terrible fatigue like never before. I can barely walk now and have fallen a few times. I am not able to care for myself

Diabetes type 2 obesity and Intermittent fasting. 🍽
So I see fasting with a healthy diet and sufficient exercise as a great combination to help those who are
pre
diabetic and some with type 2
Diabetes
. Obviously diabetics have to monitor their blood sugar levels and keep it right, this is paramount.

Japanese slow Jogging
Just looked at the video about slow jogging and found that it is EXACTLY what I have been doing since being encouraged to 'run slower'... W1 R2! I ended up doing it instinctively! from the posture, small steps, correct part of the foot ... the slow slow speed ... everything! I'm clearly part Japanese

Hello, I am new to this website and I've recently conceded that I need support. What's your ACTUAL risk of heart disease?
MikePollard recently posted a video on the LCHF forum that really deserves a wider audience, especially since we've had a lot of posts recently from people worried about their cholesterol. https://youtu.be/t8njzjSIybk It's possibly not the best video on the subject, but it's describing a test called

How much fat do we actually need?
There are some on this forum who think they need to eat a high-fat diet. There are others, like myself, who eat a predominantly low-fat diet. So let me ask how much fat is in your diet? Can you give an idea is terms of either weight or calories per day? Do you think that is enough? Why is it enough

IGm, CLL, Amyloidosis and Polyneuropathy
I’m at hospital again today, waiting in line to see my cardiologist to discuss my recently diagnosed Amyloidosis. Same time last week I was with my Oncologist discussing CLL and the week before that my Neurologist discussing my Polyneuropathy. Is it a stretch of the imagination that everything is related

Review article on photobiomodulation and the brain
Here's a review article on photobiomodulation (aka low level laser therapy [LLLT], 'red light' therapy, LED therapy). It summarizes the peer reviewed, published research on the topic - with emphasis on its use in neurodegenerative diseases and brain injury: Photobiomodulation and the brain: a new paradigm

Diabetes reversed
So here I am again, trip to the doctor yesterday confirmed a reversal of my diabetes and that the next few months will see a gradual reduction in both my diabetes and blood pressure medication, until (hopefully) I am completely off them. My weight continues to gradually fall, 100kg now, that's under
