Specifically, my specialists are recommending a low carb diet (keto) in relation to a Glycogen Storage Disease but I

Abingdon Parkrun!!
I did it!! Was a bit apprehensive about finishing, as I wasn't anywhere near 5k at end of C25K (around 3.7k in 30 mins). I only did one Parkrun before, two years ago, and promptly put my back out, then due to personal circumstances didn't get back into running for 2 years, during which fitness disappeared

My Journey With Fatty Liver and Type 2 Diabetes
I was diagnosed with fatty liver and Type 2 Diabetes on 2016 . All the doctors ever wanted to do was give me pills and all sorts of medications. I didn't want to pump my body full of drugs so I started to do my own research. I used to be really sluggish, irritable and tired all the time. My doctor told

Fish oil and cholesterol
I have been on what's labelled a "high quality fish oil for optimal heart health" (cod oil) for the past six months and taking the maximum recommended dose of two capsules daily. However, it seems to have done nothing for my triglyceride and cholesterol levels; my triglycerides came back out of range

Obese T2 DM Vs Thin T2 DM
Are you Obese T2 or Thin and skinny T2?? I have been studying the Etiology & mechanism of Obese T2 Vs Thin/Skinny T2 since quite some time. I have accessed a lot of research papers/ studies on the subject. I find there is a lot of difference between the two and therefore the strategies to be followed

Low carb diets...???
I really need to find out more about this. A couple of days ago, I got my lab results back and they are clearly indicative of insulin resistance: fasting glucose 110 mg/dL (ref 70-105) and fasting insulin 18 uU/mL (ref 2.6-24.9; should be <5 according to several low carb forums I've visited). Anyway,

Labs back, would appreciate feedback!
So, I have had some labs back. I have been on Berberine 1500 mg daily (500x3) since 2015. Back then, it helped me lose 28 kilograms and have a normal BMI for the first time in years. I have since put it all back (the weight gain started after I was put on high doses of prednisolone last year - I took

The diet that is working (for my husband that is!)
Quite a few people on the forum have taken steps to lose weight following their diagnosis of AF. My husband has had a weight problem most of our married life (BMI of 36) and we have lost count of the various diets he has tried. He read an article in The Times supplement a few months ago on prevention

I bought Bestvite quercetin 500mg/250 bromelain take 2, 3 × day. How long before you see results., or is their a better brand. Hoping this will help as a MAO B inhibitor. Also, my stomach feels upset a bit, does that happen to anyone. Thank you.
