PMR update, flare, cholesterol, pre diabetes, neck, DEXA etc
I am back in the
pre
diabetes
zone, as I lapsed with my diet a bit at the end of the year and put some weight on. And I am just out of range for cholesterol, the note says that I need treatment for that.

Distortion of Hba1c test with levo
This may lead to errors in diagnosing

and diabetes in patients with hypothyroidism. This is important for both physicians and patients to know.

Low Carb or even Keto why is not recommended with low thyroid - can I control prediabetes with diet ?
As I write, I am thinking of now of pushing my exercise level as well for
pre
diabetes
. I am reasonably active but sometimes my work and "thyroid rabbit holes" lead to periods of sedentary behaviour!
Background
(I am a bit over range on T4 and about 15% on T3 range.

Low T3 and diabetes risk
I have just read this in depth article on the diabetes U.K. website which clearly states that Low thyroid function is associated with an increased risk of
diabetes
and
pre
diabetes
. Low T3 increases the risk. The risk is increased even if T3 is low in range.

Has anyone tried this diet regime?
My husband was diagnosed with NAFLD about two years ago. Recently his readings and scans have deteriorated and he was told he had to lose some weight, change his diet etc. He has lost just over a stone in about 6 weeks but it has now slowed down and has made him somewhat disheartened. He tells me he

Withdrawal bleed after egg collection
Hi all, I had an egg collection on Wednesday 10th July. They mentioned that I should have a withdrawal bleed between 5-7 days if it’s any later it crosses into the similar time frame as my period is due. I took Buserelin as my trigger. Can anyone explain if this would the beginning of a new cycle

raised HbA1c
I told my GP I hadn’t had any bloods done for well over a year when I went regarding a skin problem. She only ordered FBC and HbA1c. Unfortunately no ESR or U&E’s. I’m a bit upset as HbA1c gone up to 50 which puts me in diabetic realm. I try to keep carbs low but ‘could do better’. Just had message
