Back sliding and really scared
Since increasing my lithium dose before Christmas, my symptoms had been so much better, only having mild lows for a stretch of six weeks. I was still having the two to three week rapid cycling bipolar cycles, but my downs had been very mild. But this cycle it is back with a vengeance. Have felt horrible

Hello everyone 2
I finally quit taking Cymbalta. My vision was really starting to suffer. The uncontrollable muscle movements were keeping me up so many nights. For years I was taking it mainly due to the pain relief part. I talked to a Dr. I didn't taper off like planned. I feel so much better. I was on it for years

Can stress make hypothyroidism worse
I am on week four after starting thyroxine. One day I don't feel so bad the next awful but today after a pretty stressful day feel worse than I have done for ages. Does stress make things worse or is the doctor right after all and I'm actually depressed. I am so tired, actually went to bed after work

A new approach for treatment of subthreshold bipolar disorders: Targeted high dose levothyroxine+repetitive TMS for mitochondrial treatment
A very interesting paper. Difficult to grab any individual bits for discussion or introduction. The whole paper isn't very long. Even if bipolar disorders are not themselves of much direct interest, it might be worth a quick read because it discusses the control group as well and their ability to tolerate

Bipolar II what does hypomania feel like?
Hey folks, I've been diagnosed with bipolar II but I do not have traditional hypomania symptoms. I wanted to know if anyone else relates to this. I do not have elevated mood or the lack of need to sleep. However, I have intense goal oriented activity, agitation and extreme anxiety, I can't sleep even

Valproate: new safety and educational materials to support regulatory measures in men and women under 55 years of age
I don't think there is any reason to expect many members to be taking any form of Valproate, but this is such an important issue, with such significant consequences, I've decided to post it anyway. Even if you are not taking it, someone you know might be. [i]

Afraid of taking medications for anxiety
Hello, I am going through so much anxiety about being dependent on the numerous medications that my psychiatrist prescribed. I have schizoaffective disorder. One day it just happened and I was diagnosed in 2020. Just wondering if anyone out there feels the same way. I find myself pacing out of anxiety

PTSD?
Okay. I have a lot of questions about PSTD and complex PTSD. I literally JUST noticed something. I was having unwanted, intrusive thoughts about my dad & his passing. I was thinking about the night it happened. And completely unconsciously, I picked up my phone and began to try to distract myself from

Can you help with observations.
I guess my question is : is my daughter being weighed down by unnecessary medications which are being prescribed to her so that a box can be ticked. I am concerned about the health of her liver etc. She is 45 and has been suffering since the age of 15. It is a form of BPD . The problem as I see it is

I have posted a few times about my dad. Stage 4, mets to 8+ bones at time of diagnosis, PSA at 137 (10/22.) Need to vent to people who will get it.
As the title says. I'm struggling right now and just wanna cry, but can't because I'm on holiday and it's my birthday and I should be having a wonderful time. I had to get a taxi and come back to my hotel around 5pm and haven't moved from the bed since. I feel exhausted. It was only a 20min walk from

Christmas ptsd
I had a huge physical fight with my boyfriends family christmas 2021 and I haven’t been back since and even though everything has calmed down, I’m scared something bad will happen again so I just don’t go.

Prepping for Round 2
Hello ladies! I’m planning to start a second IVF cycle in January (when I’ll turn age 40!) and feeling hopeful. First cycle was BFN with short protocol so we are trying long protocol this time with Nafarelin (Synarel) nasal spray and Menopur. Has anyone had luck with this combo? Also we had the option

New to group and a survivor with encouragement!
Hello all, I just wanted to introduce myself to the group. I'm a 20 year survivor of postpartum psychosis in the USA. I found this group through Postpartum Support International and I'm so glad I did. I have never actually spoken to another survivor of PP until I got here, just because I've never
